Help Bipolar Teenager

Help recetnly diagnosed 16yr teen daughter very depressed after manic episode. Takes 1,200 mg lithium which helped the mania but not the severe depression. She has hypothyroidism due to the lithium. She is taking levothyroxin 100mcg. Very irregular periods. Cold hands and feet. Warts on bottom of feet. Extremely irregular periods, a minor case of acne. Mood worse in the morning. Very clingy when depressed so I have to sleep next to her. Doesn't want to be alone. She complains how stupid she is and how everyone is smarter than she, although she is very bright and gets a scholarship for private school. Procrastinates, craves junk food, like pizza, pasta. Doesn't return phone calls from friends. Has dry skin and is loosing hair. Feels like an outsider/loner. Very tall and pretty. Complains she doesn't have anything to say anymore and is boring. Feels different than her peers. Hates school, feels hopeless about the illness and her future. Sleep is ok , except when she is manic. When manic, delusional about being a movie star, sings non-stop, doesn't sleep, dances non-stop, imagines that everyhing is a movie and she is being filmed. Talks to strangers sings in front of people etc. Sets up props with dolls and old letters etc. says this is artistic. When her mood is more stable, she worried incessantly about grades and school. Father died when she was six, suicide.

for now, please take one dose of IGNATIA 1M and note the change in your disposition for the next 10 days.

also, please take out lithium from your life gradually as its not giving you a cure, its just adding problems.

depression can be dealt with many other safe ways.

Thank you rishimba. Is one dose, one white pellet?

best take a liquid dose of IGNATIA 1M.

one dose would be some 2 to 3 drops of the remedy in 30ml of water. ip it slowly and let it get absorbed in the mouth as far as possible.

Aurum,
I think that if you leave the lithium and the diagnosis is one of bipolarity, you may be facing a crisis.-I really believe in homeopathy, but as a complementary medicine in mental cases....i mean, theres nothing wrong to use the best of both medicines at once.-I am a bipolar myself, and the times that i trusted and relied only on homeopathy i end up hospitalized....just a comment.
good luck.

Hello Albert,

I don't plan on stopping the lithium anytime soon, not after what we've been through with 2 hospitalizations behind us. It was too traumatic for me and her. I am introducting homeopathy and of course vitamins/amino acids with the hopes of lowering lithium and avoiding having to add andditional meds. Right now I am trying to find the liquid ignatia LM.

Hello Aurum,
Glad to hear you are being cautiosly with the allopathic meds.-
I would like to tell you 2 things that may help.-My homeopathic drs. told me to take the doses more often (say everyday or every other day), this is because of the polimedication.-Have in mind that lithium have blood levels when theres is no effective at all, so you have to stay in certain range...i asume you knew it, but just in case.
And the other thing , let the levothyroxine do its work...its needs 4-6 weeks to stabilizes in blood.-The brain serotonin is related to a normal values of thyroid hormones and STH.-
Stay well.
Albert.
