3yr old with needle embedded in foot

my three year old stepped on a sewing needle a wekk ago....
the doctor told us to wait for it to fester so it is easier to push out. She does not have the tetanus shot because we do not beleive in vaccinations....
i just bought some silicea and soem ledum.....how much should i give her and how often?

How much of the needle is still in his foot?

If it is a full sewing needle still embedded and you have been told to let it fester, your doctor needs a swift kick in the pants and no payment. And you need to find another doctor quick - one who will treat your son properly.

If it is only a small piece and it is just under the skin, surely your doctor could have got it out easily enough?

And a small piece deeply embedded needs immediate treatment, not just to be left there.

Regardless, I do suggest you go to a different, competent doctor.

By the way, what will be your feelings if your son DOES develop tetanus as a result of this episode? You know it is a killer disease, don't you?

I also hope that the doctor has only really said leave this if it is safe to do so. If there is any sign of infection or general illness, foot swelling, fever, flu type symptoms etc. seek medical advice quickly.
You can continue the homeopathy alongside this.
If you mean 30c. then alternate the remedies every 2 hours for a few days (daytime only). Reduce this dosage once improvement begins and give less accordingly from then on.

well the doctor said it may cause more problems to dig it out...they want it to fester so they can push it out easier. They did an x-ray and it is about 1and 1/2 cm long about 1/2 a cm inside her heel. For them to cut her open and try to find it may cause more pain and it will be a bigger wound. I beleive our bodies are capable of healing themselves. I heard that silicea will help expel foriegn objects from the body. It has been 11 days now and it just seems to be getting better so i dont know if it is really going to fester out.....i'll take her to another doctor today.........

First, my apologies: I called the child your son, it should have been your daughter. My mistake.

This needle is half an inch long, it is about a third of an inch deep in her foot. That is dangerous for her, and it needs to come out as soon as possible. Waiting for it to fester that deep in her body has the possibility to cause blood poisoning for a start, not to mention the possibility of many other diseases such as tetanus.

Removal should be very quick and easy, as livex has explained. However she is not my child...

Good luck!
