Just diagnosed with brain tumor
Over twenty years ago when I sat down in front of my first homeopath and began to learn about homeopathy, the first warning he gave me was about suppression...how important it was not to drive the illness deeper into the body.I remember very vividly the story he told of someone who had a mole cut off his body with the idea he was preventing cancer and actually died of a very invasive cancer within six months.
It all made sense to me; everything about homeopathy made sense to me and I've been passionate about it ever since. Alas, my husband has never embraced it and I've had to accept that he has the right to make choices about his health just as I have the right to make choices about my body and my health.
So two months ago he had a basal cell skin cancer surgically removed from his scalp, right on the crown. The doctor said it was superficial and they got it all. That was in November and two days ago my husband had a grand mal seizure (no previous history) and today an MRI showed a brain tumor. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but you know you are never prepared for something like this.
I fear he will proceed with what the medical doctors propose -- surgery, of course -- and worry about the outcome.
I'd appreciate any information on cured cases, books to read, websites...anything that may convince him that homeopathy can cure this.

PS There's been no biopsy yet so we don't know what kind it is except the neurologist's opinion was that it was not a very aggressive type.

In some homeopathic school of thought, it is believed that cancers/tumours can be cured till a biopsy's done. It's believed by them that biopsy opens the disease to sorrounding cells.

Ruth, let me ask: Do you think that you should be experimenting with your husband's health? Ask yourself what quality of life you can expect, given your various treatments. Ask yourself who knows most about these particular conditions.

There is a book called 'Brain Tumour cured by Homeopathy' written by Dr.Subrata Kumar Banerjea.
Dr. Banerjea is regarded as one of the great modern masters of homeopathy and is perhaps the foremost authority on miasms.Currently, he practices in UK.You can read his book as well as get in touch with hime if you wish homeopathic help.Dr. A.U.Ramakrishnan is the other one kown the world over for his remarkable success rate in treating all kinds of cancers.
There is another homeopath who has claimed a very high degree of success with Ruta 6 and Calcarea Phos. 3X.There is an Yahoo group formed by his patients who remain in touch with one another through this group.A lot of patients on this group have given testimonials that their tumours have been cured or controlled or the cancer has gone into remission etc.I have forgotten the name of that homeopath.I will try to look it up for you.

Ok.Just found his name.Its a father-son duo of homeopaths with 40 years research into various forms of cancer.The father's name is Dr. Pratip Banerji and the son's name is Dr. Prasanta Banerji.Their research has gained such a reputation for success that it is now funded by the US govt's National Institute of Health (NIH) and Cancer Advisory Panel for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAPCAM).

In giving you this information I hope I'm not adding to the murky water that you and your husband have found yourself in. The information is taken from 'Homoepathic insight into cancer - causes treatment and cure' by Dr. Sultan Alam Bihari. This doctor delibrately caused his body to have cancer with coaltar twice to show the attendees at a medical conference that homoepathy can cure cancer. On both occasions he did just that. His approach is very simple and it uses biochemic salt together with homoeopathic remedy. He had advised against treating cancer remotely because acute symptoms will continue to arise.
The book is a very old book but if you so wish I can scan it in and forward it to you (only 133 pages). Some historical records he quoted found that cancer had been treated very successfully with homoeopathy.
Another option you can consider is the use of B17 or laetrile. The success rate is truly phenomenal and you can download a free ebook entitled 'alive and well'. Do a search on the internet.

I forgot to mention that Dr. Bihari had advised against biopsy for it seems that there were cases in which cancer were spread by the procedure. He advised the use of serum tests. Look for raised sodium and bicarbonate and depressed potassium,chloride and phosphate. These are sure signs of cancer. The serum tests he advised are :
ions normal
Na (sodium) - 138 mEq/litre
K (potassium) - 4.5-5 mEq/lit
Ca (calcium) 2 mEq/lit
Cl (chloride) 110 mEq/lit
HCo3(bicarb) 27 mEq/lit
PO4 (phosphate) 4.5 mg/100 ml
(inorganic)
Further if bicarbonate is high but chloride and phosphate are absent in the urine and other indications of cancer is present then this would be a positive indication of cancer as well.

Vitamin B17, or laetrile, is a poison and has been thoroughly tested to see if it has any cancer fighting powers, as claimed above. Results: It has none, and in fact it makes patients dangerously ill due to its severe poisoning effect. Some 'miracle-doctors' have killed people by giving them laetrile.

cyanide, and was claimed to have an
anticancer effect because allegedly
cancer cells could not detoxify the
cyanide whereas normal cells could.
Sadly such claims are fanciful. However,

that the US National Cancer
Institute was force to spend millions
of dollars studying it. Over 70,000
patients were said to have used it.
The NCI wrote to 350,000 doctors in
America to publicise their study and
invited patients who claimed to have
benefited to come forward. Only 92
did so, and when their cases were
analysed it was concluded that at
most six had shown some benefit.
These figures hardly justify the continuing
study of Laetrile, particularly
when in a further study no benefit
was found but some patients developed
cyanide poisoning! Nonetheless,
Laetrile clinics continue to operate in
Mexico just south of the US border.'
