Pilonidal cyst / sinus
I have had a pilonidal sinus / cyst excised four times - most recently ten years ago. It has become problematic again and sitting is very painful. The sinus is deep and not visible externally. My doctor advises in view of the scar tissue that further surgery would not be recommended until either the sinus is more visible or discharges. I have taken myristica 200 three times at five day intervals but so far it has made no significant difference. This is based on the advice in earlier posts. I would be grateful for any advice.Alf76 on 2007-01-22
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
See all the cases in the Archives here at ABC Forum...there are a number of cases where detailed instructions have been given by me for this problem. Many people have been able to resolve their problem completely.
After you have read it, still there are questions...just post here ...will guide you.
Allopathic treatment does not eradicate the tendency to formation of the cysts. Homeopathic treatment does.

Dear Pankaj
Thank you for replying so quickly. I did try to identify the correct treatment from the many posts on the subject of pilonidal cyst / sinus and I should have been more specific. The key thing seems to be for the cyst to burst before taking other remedies. This has not happened yet although I have now taken three doses of myristica 200 at five day intervals (based on one of your previous posts) and I dont know whether I should continue to take this, and if so for how long, or consider alternatives eg silicea. The cyst is becoming more painful but still not visible.
Many thanks

Thank you for your earlier suggestion - I have now taken myristica 30c for a week (3 times a day). Previously I took three doses of myrstica 200c (5 days apart). The cyst has not burst. It does feel slightly more painful and possibly nearer the surface. It is not visible yet.
I am unsure whether I should now wait for a short time and repeat the treatment or try something else, eg Hepar Sulph and perhaps take Echinacea in the meantime to reduce the inflammation? Your advice gratefully appreciated.
