combining allopathic and homeopathic
As fas as i have read it says on the net u can use the both together but for like uti is it ok to use antibiotics ands homeopathic remedy together . if no then why?phiryulovehua on 2007-01-27

The antidotive action of antibiotics arises out of interfering with the bodys ability to fight infection rather than the drug itself. If antibiotics prevent an infection from happening, the body suffers no interference and is not antidoted. For example if you are taking homepathic treatment for the above you mentioned and for emergency you are taking antibiotic for some other complaint e.g cold than it does'nt interfere. You can not take both remedies for one common problem.

thanx for ur reply i am taking a remedy for (sepia) hormonal problems can i take antibiotic for uti???

Its important to know that why are you taking Sepia. If it covers the symtomps of uti also if yes then antibiotic will antidote the effect of sepia. For you if antibiotic for uti is priority for the current situation then i think u should finish with that first.

If the condition is very severe then take antibotic first.Soon as the condition is better then resume Homeopathic medicine.
I do not think thay you need antibotic and homeopathy together.
As well as the question of antidoting is concerned,i do not think they antodote because they act on different level.

I think Sepia can help you to solve your uti problem. But if possible don't take antibiotic. There are two reasons. First it may interfare the treatment and secondly you may not know whether Sepia is working or not. Of course you if condition is worse you have to take antibiotic but avoid if you can as you know its only supressing the symptoms.
You can eat plenty of curd without suger in your each meals. That helps to fight with infection.

thanx for all the replies.. i have been fighting for 4 days sepia has helled me with a lot of stuff but not uti... and now i am getting fever and i have had kidney infection too before so i guess i have to give up and start antibiotics and then resume again with homeopathic as soon as possible.
