chronic constipation : Pls help.

This is for my wife. I have studied through Graphites in a materia medica, and it matches almost all of her mental and physical symptoms.

Among the symptoms that match are :

Chronic constipation with no urge for days

Great tendency to start on things, timidity , music makes her weep. Can't work for long time, gets fidgety. Gets despondent easily.

Her toe nails are crooked.

Her left hand and arm goes to sleep often.

Her scalp has a bad itch.

Late menses with scanty discharge.

She is fair and has a tendency to put on weight.

She loves to tease.

Dryness in ears.

Is it ok to go with Graphites based on these symptoms ?

If yes, please advise potency and dosage.

Good selected remedy as per symptoms shown in your post. You can start it but I would like to suggest that take one doze of sulpher30 morning and two doses of Graphites 30 after noon and night. After week please report.

Dr. Mahfooz has good reason for advising your wife one dose of Sulphur. The symptoms of your wife suggests some underlying cause that may not allow well selected remedy to work.
Taking one dose of Sulphur will pave way for the selected remedy to respond well and cure the patient.

Or I should give daily one dose in the mroning ?

Give one dose of Sulphur as Dr.Mahfooz advised, early in the morning on empty stomach, wait for 2 - 3 days, and start with the remedy suggested.
