Dr Deshlok Ji, Plz help

a Pilonidal cyst / sinus just where my tail bone ends. there is an opening and an itching and acheing tennis ball like (smaller) swelled area near the opening. when the swelled area is pressed..it aches a lot and also blood comes out of the opening. i m very frustrated. plz suggest me an effective treatment as i want to avoid surgery.

I first discovered the symptoms 1 year ago and consulted a reputed doctor of my distt. s' medical college. he diagnosed and declared it as pilonidal abcess. he recommended me to take AUGMENTIN 625 tablets and METROGYL P ointment.he said that if these will not help, i have to undergo a surgery.
i took the medicione and every thing seemes all right after that.
now again i found severe ache near my tailbone 4-5 days ago and last night i pressed the swelled portion a bit and i founf blood oozing out of my sinus.

AUgmentin 625, Metrogyl P (ointment). I will start today W.e.f. 04-02-2007

9. Slight back history
i got a back injury when a metallic backrest of the bike hit my tailbone directly..in year2003.
again in last 27 Dec, 2006 i got severe shock on my back bone in my car accident.
