Rhodiola Rosea with Cipramil?

Hi there,

I'm currently taking half a tablet of 20g cipramil every day for my anxiety. I have been on cipramil for about 6 years now. I've tried to stop it before but had to go back on it (kinda stopped it at a wrong time because I started a new job and had tensions in the house).

Anyway, I've recently spoke to a homeopath and she said that I could take Rhodiola Rosea with my cipramil. She said that it is safe to take them together, as opposed to taking them with 5HTP for example, because Rhodiola works differently from cipramil. So I have been wanting to start taking them together and in time, completely withdraw cipramil.

I just would like a second opinion as whether it is safe to take them together.

Thanks in advance,

FD

Dear FlogginDolphin:
Rhodiola Rosea appears as a good treatment to stress, depression and another animic problems.
Cypramil is an antidepressive, and you can stop but -as every antidepressive- you have to do very slowly and under medical control (if your homeopath is experimented, you can run under his control).
If you use both, there is no problem, but if it works fine or bad, how can you know?
Please, visit to your doctor and ask him to stop slowly the medication and you can complement this stop taking Rhodiola as your homeopath say.
If there is any uncomfortable effect, you can correct it without problem.
Good luck
