question about homeopathic "personality" types

In my treatment, I have been found to be a typical lycopodium ';type' who has many of the personality characteristics listed in the remedy details...

I'd to understand something, is this my 'true personality' or will this change with the treatment (of my eczema etc). Many of the issues are less then good after all, fear of responsibility, closeness etc. But, it leaves the question, who is the real me? if that makes sense.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear John, it makes perfect sense, but this question can only be answered by you.

If you do not feel Lycopodium is the real you, this can only be because you are aware of this fact, and it is this very thing which will govern your reaction to the remedy.

If you have been a Lycopodium 'type' all your life, then this remedy will merely alleviate your sufferings, if however you have not, and you feel there is more to you underneath the Lycopodium, then the entire personality will be removed from your constitution, giving rise to what is underneath.

It is a question of individual awareness.

Also we need to understand what is to be cured. That is to say if we are treating a dis-ease the response we would hope to see is that of a greater freedom as it were in his or her life. So if a new type were to emerge( in the direction of cure)it would undoubtedly be a positive thing. Remedy types or pictures are merely a tool for the homeopath to arrive at remedy selection. So need to be discerning in just how much relevence is placed on them.Identification and addressing the active miasm should be considered first and foremost in most cases ,which is somewhat harder. When it all fits together? Well hey.

I listen to an interview with a Dr. Scheper (sp?) today, regarding lycopodium, and the lycopodium personality. he had me nailed very well... even down to my profession, lawyer. a very strange thing really.

Hmm, can't say I've ever met a Lycopodium lawyer before, they are usually far too timid for such face to face confrontations which would be required in court.

Jacob-

the timidity is on the inside, hidden. the exterior shows confidence.
