what happens when you stop taking a remedy for some time

Hello, i've been seeing a homeopath for 4 months now and during this time he's made me try 10 remedies! i've started doubting his expertise and for a week haven't been taking any medicines. What happens now with all the mixture within me? How long should i wait until seeing another doctor?
Thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Well, you should contact your dr first and take his opinion then go to any other dr. if u are not satisfied.

Dear Milisenta:
Homeopaths usually defend ourselves and no need help. Because of this, I'm not defending you homeopath, but I would like to give you an advice.
Every patient is a greta world, with obvious symptoms and with unexplored territories. Sometimes homeopath can discover the most important symptoms and select the best remedy; other times, symptoms are not very clear and homeopaths can fail (me too, of course).
10 remedies is too much for me (i am a classical homeopath) and I dislike to treat with a lot of remedies.
If you are not confortable with your homeopath, you can explain him and find a solution. If your trust him is growing weak, the best is you change of homeopath.
If you give us more information about your ailment, perhaps we can give you some orientation about the treatment.
Best wishes
Andrés

thanks a lot! i stopped seeing this doctor at least for the time being, and one of the doctors online said i should make a break of 1-2 months to cleanse the system and try not to take ANY remedies in the meanwhile- neither homeopathic nor 'normal'. makes sense to you?
Thanks!

Dear Milisenta:
I you have decided stop with your actual homeopath, then you need a time to 'desintoxicate' your body.
How much time? Depends on the kind of remedies and its potencies.
Mineral and animal remedies need more time to cease in its effect than vegetable remedies.
Low potencies need less time than higher to stop its effects.
If you have felt amelioration, the the remedies are working for you; if you haven't felt amelioration nor aggravation nor any symptoms more, then your remedies are not working.
If there is aggravation, then you have to antidote; if you have amelioratio, then you can continue with your remedies. If you have amel nor aggrav. the you can look for another homeopath and tell what remedies have you taken and the symptoms you experimented when you go to the homeopath first time.
Best regards
Andrés

thanks a lot, Andres! this is helpful- i think i am in between of amelioration on some symptoms and going back to pre-homeopathy stage on other symptoms. In any case, don't dare to bother you with other details, i'll go through 'desintoxication' now.

Thank you!

one other short question, if i am going through a 'Detox' now but i still need something to help with anxiety. i've been trying Sedatif PC by homeopathic company Boiron. It contains
Aconitum napellus 6CH, Belladonna 6CH, Calendula officinalis 6CH, Chelidonium majus 6CH, Abrus precatorius 6CH, Viburnum opulus 6CH aa 0,5 mg. Extra: Saccharum, Lactosum monohydricum, Magnesii stearas q.s. ad 300mg.

i am taking it only when i feel very anxious, and once a day (although the doze is 3 times daily). Am i just adding to the mix? What can i take, then? THANKS A LOT!!!

Dear Milisenta:
I am a 'classical homeopath' but I have to tell you the truth: i usually prescribe this complex to my colleges -teachers as me- for improve their relax and fightagainst nervous and insomnia.
We can make an analysis about your problems and thought and... but Sedatif (from Boiron) and Passiflora composé (from Boiron too) work OK.
You can take -as your nervousism level- from one to three times and repeat. When you feel your nervousism levels are lower, then reduce the intakes, and later take only one before go to bed.
I prescribe it usually and with success.
Best regards and don't worry with this complex.

Thanks! so you're a teacher? i bet that students can easily make a teacher nervous!:-) it's good news that Sedatif will not spoil the case, because if it's something that works, i feel much better just having it in my purse! Thanks, again, and have a great weekend!
