Toxoplasmosis in Newborns - Opinions on Drug Treatment Welcomed!!

I have recently had our 3rd child who was born at 33 weeks with Congenital Toxoplasmosis. Since then he has started down the road of treatment on 2 drugs - Pryrimethamine and Sulfadiazine of which he is scheduled to take for 1 year. My husband and I are in a delima about whether or not to continue with these harse drugs and would love feedback or opinions on he situation. He has currently been on the meds for 3 months, has a VP Shunt due to Hydrocephalus, and is severely vision impaired.
Look forward to hearing from you!!
