using isopathy for food allergies?

My son has been seen a homeopath for severe eczema that began when he was 3 months old. It has no been over a year and a half of treatment, with much progress. the eczema is gone, but he still gets some hives after bathing, and still eats a very limited diet (no wheat, nuts, soy, dairy, and has a hard time tolerating too much rice or other starches).

We had another follow up visit last night, and our doc gave us the impression that he wasn't sure if continued constitutional therapy was going to clear the allergies. He suggested trying NAET, which we did a bit in the past.

I post this to ask for advice. Our homeopath is very good, I don't need help identifying my son's constitutional remedy... we have that, I need other options to help my son heal. I am getting treated for tubercular miasm, and I suspect that played a major role in my son's condition.

can anyone please offer us some other options for clearing food reactions and intolerances? My poor son lives on meat, a few fruits, and some vegetables. It is having a profound affect on my wife who worries about him constantly.

Thank you so much in advance,
John

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi John.

Did you get anywhere on this? I haven't been here in a while (busy with life) but I wanted to check in with you and your son.

For our part, my daughter had a bit of a setback in recent months and actually currently has a couple of wounds from scratching. I have yet to see any actual eczema, but the wounds are in the same place on her back where she had eczema almost exactly a year ago.

We've let go of our hold on her diet, almost entirely. With 3 older kids, it's been almost impossible to keep such a tight rein, kwim? I really wonder what is bothering her (skin) and how to proceed.

Will you let me know if you learn anything new? I hope you and your son are well.

Josie-

its good to hear from, and yes, we do know how hard it is to keep the perfect diet, even with only one child. I can't imagine it with several.

I did get one email on how to make homeopathic food dilutions, but, have not started it yet as I have a few other things I want to try as I have learned a few interesting things lately.

When looking deeper into miasm and other approaches to deal with miams, I came across several new options to try in conjuction with homeopathy. one is oligotherapy... similar to homeopathy. this page has a tiny bit of info:

http://www.ritecare.com/homeopathic/oligotherapy.asp

I am also in the process of getting a second opinion from a homeopath in India about what to do. I suspect that several different remedies will be required, including a nosode or two in very high potency in light of the very strong miasms in my family.

I also found this article to be very thought provoking:

http://www.heilkunst.com/Townsend.html

If and when I try the diluted food (which we well may do in the next year), I will probably follow the instructions on this page:

http://oaks.nvg.org/re6ra18.html

If you want to trade notes as we go forward, we can trade emails on it... I can't tell you how much I have researched in the past few months. I think the oligotherapy and some of the info set out in the above article to be very promising.

I look forward to reading the links you provided, John.

I haven't done a lot of research recently, as we'd been at status quo for so long.

Unfortunately we never were able to positively determine any of my daughter's food allergies, so I can't try to make my own remedies. But, I will say that I fully believe that it works, as it's how I dealt with the allergies of my older children. I didn't use homemade remedies, but I did slowly introduce their allergens into their diets over the course of *years* and they do not have any allergies currently.

Now, I'm not so prideful, or naive, to believe that their problems are totally gone, but their food allergies and skin problems are. I will work on their miams at some point, though.

I have my email address in my profile - I set it up for this site. I'd love to be able to talk to you about these things off this board.

I was facinated by what you wrote in another post re: iodine.

And, how did you determine the familial miams? Did your Homeopath help you with that?
