still getting acne even on birth controll pills

29 yrs old female currently taking seasonique birth control pills. Have taken birth control for 10 years now. but lately having acne (only about 2-5 lesions per month). I'm not sure if it's related to my period. Sometimes I get before I my period, other times i don't. I never really had acne in my teenage years, only in my twenties. Lately they've been on my cheeks and on my chin. They are medium in size and are red and usually filled with fluid. I am really fed up, because i thought birth control pills were supposed to help with acne. But it's not with me. Sometimes i'll go about 1-2 weeks with not one acne then they appear. I just started taking fish oil and ALA for about two months now. I don't really see a change in the reoccurence. This month they appeared where I hold my cell phone. So maybe it's due to my phone being dirty. Please help, any recommendations?

I can't stop birth control pills. I'm sexually active and DO NOT want to get pregnant. That is the only form of birth control that I feel is somewhat reliable. Can i still take those pills you suggested while on the BCP?
