herpes simplex
I amtrying to research herpes simples virus and flu like symptoms beofore a period. There were posting on april 17 ,2005 from a lady with flu like sypmtoms ( earthmother)I wonder if she has had herbes simplex virus in her system as well. Can youshed any light on this connection if any. The flu like sypmtoms ar similar to those when a simplex outbreak happens. I am a otherwise very healthy , happy and productive Mom , wife and yoga insructor.annette doody on 2007-04-12

Thank you it is the simplex oral herpes that I refer to not the genital. Thank you for your response I will try it.

Yes, many people experience flu like symptoms before mensing, I do! Not all the time but a lot of the times I do. I also have crazy nerve pain, specifically backaches (upper back) and neck & shoulder pain, which I believe to be related to HSVII. But to answer your questions, yes, feeling sick before your period when infected with HSV is common.
