Aggravation or Proving

Hope someone can give some guidance here. I was on a constitutional remedy ammonium carb under homeopathic practitioner and took 200c split dose once, then after followup (6wks) took 1 only dose 200c and aggravations followed, it brought out all old symptoms which would normally be good. However, it also threw me into a deep, deep depression, caused constipation and nightmares. Those are symptoms I have never had. The aggravations and new symptoms lasted for 3 wks and nothing got better overall and because of the depression I antidoted w/coffee and camphor. I couldn't handle it anymore. The next thing I did was something most practioners would frown on, I waited after a wk of antidoting and took a split dose of Nat Mur as I had been researching and thought that one more represented me mentally than the other. For 3 days after the Nat Mur I was exhausted and slept much, also had bad headaches (headaches are normal for me just not that bad). Anyway, after 3 days I felt terrific, better than I had in years. Heartburn better, prolapse better, mentals were great and my energy was super. I don't think I had felt this good in years. This lasted for approx 3 1/2 wks.

I know this is long post but the two questions are: was ammonium carb wrong remedy indicated by new strong symptoms of depression, constipation and nightmares.

If nat mur had such good results was it palliative and did I mess myself up taking it or is it possible that it is indeed my chronic remedy.

I hope someone can help w/advice as my homeopath is not happy w/what I did and is still thinking ammon carb is the remedy for me. I just need some more input from folks that practice homeopathy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Waiting advice/opinion from learned homeopathy practitioner.

I have little knowledge but am learning and have been under homeopathic care for 8 months now.

Can someone advise please on the post Aggravation or Proving?

Thank you

Dear going UP hill:
First of all, don't worry.
Second one, in homeopathic theory, if you take a remedy and new annoyed symptoms appear, then the remedy is not well selected.
In this case, It's necessary to antidote for go back to the starting point.
Natrum Muriaticum will be only the antidote, but when a bit of time passes, your homeopath have to re-take your case and repertorize the symptoms and select the best remedy that cover the wider number of your representative symptoms.
If you have any question more, feel free to ask.
Best regards and -I repeat- don't worry.

Andres,
Thank you so much for your reply. When I left my last appt w/practitioner I felt as if I had totally ruined everything and have been concerned.

I had thought w/little knowledge that maybe it was wrong remedy because of the severity of the new symptoms but needed to be sure I was thinking right.

Do I understand you to say that you think Nat Mur was only an antidote to the ammon carb and not necessarily my chronic remedy?

I only ask since I haven't experienced such a lift mentally or physically in years and thought maybe I had stumbled on to something miraculous. Of course, it only lasted strongly for 3 1/2 weeks but it sure was nice.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Dear Going UP hill:
Well, something is clear: Amm Carb is not yur remedy.
I have verified the relation of Ammonium Carb, and really Nat Mur is not the antidote. Because of this, I can think Nat Mur may be your constitutional remedy. But your homeopath has the information necessary to select this remedy.
Please, consult to him and ask all your doubts. Sure he explains all with detail.
After that, if you are not agree, you can give us the information, and we try to help you as best we are able.
Very best regards

Andres,
Once again I say thank you. I also did not think Ammon Carb was my remedy but since I am so compliant I went along w/it and took it twice.

I will attempt to discuss this again w/my homeopath and see if we can mutually agree.

If not, it is good to know that I may have the option of giving you all the info and letting you assist.

It is getting very expensive and I don't know how much further I can go w/this financially.

Thank you again.

BTW, I would like to change my user name but can't seem to do that. When I go to edit profile it does not allow me that option, so, I appreciate your changing it for me in your salutation. :)

Dear Going UP hill:
Homeopath have manias, and sometimes we dislike to explain certain things. But if you ask him soft and kindly, sure he will explain all you need.
I can't change your name, but if you accept the name I gave you, it's enough. You ever will be GOING UP HILL ;))
About money: don't worry. Money can't give happiness. I'm happy hence I don't need money.
