True Hope and Effexor Withdrawal

I have battled depression for about 12 years.

My mom found a new natural product called EmPower Plus by a company in Alberta called True Hope.

They are helping a lot of people to overcome the symptoms of depression and Bipoloar disorder.

I've been on 300 mgs of Effexor XR for a couple of years.

I started taking EmPower Plus in January. They have helped me wean off Effexor. I am now drug-free and have been for about 5 weeks now.

Unfortunately, I am still in horrible withdrawal. The brain zaps, night sweats and crazy dreams have mostly subsided. But I have terrible anxiety, aching arms and legs, and extreme irritability.

The counsellors at True Hope are excellent. They guided me throught the whole process of weaning and they have given me a whole list of natural products to use to help with withdrawal.

Here's what I'm using and what they are for:

Inositol: for anxiety
Choleine: for racing mind and obsessive thoughts
Amino Acid Mix: helps to clear out the toxins
L-Glutamate: helps with withdrawal

Note: I was using Protein Isolate to help clear out the toxins but you have to take about 6 scoops a day and I just couldn't hack it. I switched to the Amino Acid mix about a week ago and it's really helping. I found that I was extremely sluggish and could barely keep my eyes open. Since taking the Amino Acid Mix I feel a lot better in that regard.

If I don't take the Inositol every 2 hours I end up sobbing. It really, really helps with anxiety.

So does the Choleine. Choleine seems to help with mental anguish.

Anyway, I'm trying not to go back on my meds even though some days I feel like giving up.

The good news is that I am 5 weeks drug free. So the EmPower Plus seems to be helping.

EmPower Plus is all vitamins and mineral supplements. Tons of B vitamins, iron and more.

I hope this helps.
