The ABC Homeopathy Forum

tired + forgetful + worried

The last couple of weeks I have been suffering from low energy, forgetfulness and worries about everything. I stay up late at night and I wake up not feeling fresh. I also noticed I'm experiencing social anxiety I've never experienced before. I hate crowds. Is there anything I can do? I was thinking of Lycopodium, but I'm not sure. Can you please help me 'cause it gets worse and worse...

Patient ID: Lisa (Aardbeitje) Sex: Female Age: 21 Nature of work: Med student Habits: (I don't know what I'm supposed to write here)

1. Describe your main suffering? I cry myself to sleep thinking about all the tragedies in the world like war, poverty, hunger etc. This makes me depressed and tired, and my memory is affected as well: I forget names and I have to look for words. I feel like I am the only one who sees this and I need to do big things with my life. I’m also starting to suffer a social phobia witch fear of crowds and intimacy.
2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? Irritable bowel disease, dry patches on the skin of my upper arms with less pigment, dandruff, low blood pressure. Intermittent pain in my right jaw, probably because of nocturnal bruxism. Stomach acid, especially when constipated.
3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? I feel tired, physically and mentally and forgetful. I’m not really depressed since I’m still quite optimistic, but I have high expectations of myself and my life. This costs me a lot of energy.
4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words. About the worries: I feel hopeless, “I wish I could help, I HAVE to do something”. I feel guilty for being myself. I feel like no one understands me. I don’t want to be consoled when I’m sad, I don’t want anyone to touch me.
About the social phobia: in crowds I need to get out, I need my space. I start to breath fast and I need to get away from these people as fast as possible.
5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease? It might have to do with sexual intimidation at my work space. It could also have started after my hospitalization for severe constipation.
6. Which time of the day you are worst? Physical symptoms: end of the afternoon, starting at about 4 p.m. I get chills and I feel very tired. The worries go on all day, so does the social phobia.
7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc. Better after eating and in fresh air (after opening a window).
8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)? Not that I’m aware of.
9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Nor hot, not cold, I need fresh air.
10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I’m complex and ideological. I need my time alone to recharge. I experience mood swings a sometimes a couple times per day. I have a hard time disciplining myself, but I want to finish things. I’m not really organized but I like to plan everything ahead. I don’t like surprises.
- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
I love thunderstorms.
- Do you like being consoled during your tough times? No, not at all, I hate it.
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc? Yes, very sensitive. I can smell, hear and see everything and these stimuli sometimes overwhelm me. I need quiet time to recharge.
- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless weeping, talking to one self etc? I talk to myself when I’m alone. I also bite the skin next to my nails. And I pick my nose (bad habit).
- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife? I am single. My family is the most important thing in my life. I don’t have many friends, but the friends I do have are very valuable to me.
11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly? I want everybody to like me, however I’m scared with intimacy. I fear crowds and I don’t like surprises.
12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions? I like eating. There’s no food I don’t like.
13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive? Normal. After emotions excessive.
14. How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive? Normal, but I feel like eating all the time, even when I’m full.
15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand? Not that I’m aware of.
16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs? More, especially on the trumk. And it smells more than average. I have to use a very strong antiperspirant.
17. How is your bowel movement and stool type? Diarrhoea in acute stress, constipation in chronic stress. My abdomen makes a lot of rumbles. I open my bowels 3 times a day, but that might have to do with the high-fiber diet and laxative drugs.
18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I go to sleep late at night and I fall asleep easily. I fall asleep on my back with my legs crossed and wake up lying on my right side. I have a lot of dreams which I can remember most of the time. I wake up not feeling fresh, even after 10 hours of sleep. I want to wash my feet before going to bed because I can’t stand my feet to be warm and dry.
19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? I rather satisfy them on my own (which I often do) than with somebody else because I don’t like intimacy. I can only enjoy sex with a partner when I love him very much, but this might take a while since I don’t like intimacy, only when I’m in love.
20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others? I have itching in my left ear, especially at night. I also have an unusual vivid imagination.
21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
I use laxatives to keep my bowels moving. I have been using anti-psychotics and anti-depressants but I feel ‘flat’ when I take them, a lack of emotions.
22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Hypochondria, ulcerative colitis, major depression, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia.
23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
Long, brown hair, hazel eyes, oval shaped face. Hourglass figure with small waist and large breasts. Very small wrists and fingers. Body weight is higher than one would estimate.
24. If your menstrual cycles are not normal, please describe the irregularities, like pains, moods, flow type, clots etc. Tend to be late, especially when I’m stressed. Mucous blood with clots.
25. What major diseases have you had in your life and when. Please write them in a chronological manner. 2000: major depression, 2006: cannabis-induced psychosis, 2007: hospitalized because of severe constipation with nausea (I couldn’t eat, nor drink. Pain was absent).

please take NAT MUR 200C three doses on one day at 4 hours interval.

take them in empty stomach.

after about 10 days, based on your improvement, you should take NAT MUR 200C and SEPIA 200C alternately every two to three days.

take the above for some weeks and hopefully you would be cured to a great extent.

I got the Nat Mur C200 granules and just took the first one on an empty stomach. I still have a couple of questions. How much time do I have to wait between eating and taking the Nat Mur? I saw in another topic coffee is an antidote: do I have to stop drinking coffee? And what about alcohol?

please have a gap of 1 hour both sides.

have empty stomach as far as possible while taking the remedies.

please avoid excess of salt and sweet, sour, coffee, raw garlic and onion, camphor or any perfumes which have strong smell or taste.

All right, thank you.
Do I have to take 3 doses daily during the next 10 days or just today 3 doses, then wait 9 days and then report?

aardbeitje last decade
please take 3 doses on just one day and then wait for 9 days.

come back after 10 days and report your improvement.

if you get a good response, further suggestions would be made.

Sorry for my late reply, but I feel much better. I'm less forgetful and I'm happier.
I'm still thinking about taking Lyc Clav because of my flatulence and stomach rumbling and my very strong sour sweat. Is that okay?

aardbeitje last decade
Oh yeah, I forgot to say I took the Nat Mur, and I think it worked very good.

unless your totality points towards lycopodium, you will not get any relief from it.

please describe the modalities, time and actual sensations of the sufferings with regard to flatulance, rumbling etc.

Nat Muir is very good and correctly advised to you. Continue it as per your doctor's advice.

Also get checked if you have entestinal worms which I suspect & if so it also needs to be treated.

I found out I don't suffer from flatulence and rumbling if I leave out all animal products, so I'm following a vegan diet at the moment (with supplements). In a couple of weeks I will try to slowly reintroduce animal products to my diet.
