Hi Mr. De Livera,

Today is day 10 of your 'Joepathy' for fistula. Unfortunately, yesterday I partook of some food for the holiday that I probably shouldn't have eaten, and today I am paying for it. (Did not have any alcohol!) Thankfully, I have no swelling, pain or redness. I do, however, had a small amount of blood come from the teeny opening of the fistula a bit a go... Bright red. It happened when I went to the bathroom and wiped myself with a baby wipe. I have not had any pus or inflammation from that site for over a week and was very hopeful that things were headed in the right direction.

A question for you..... When I noticed I had a small amount of red blood on the baby wipe, I looked with a mirror and noticed that once again the area where the blood was coming from had a deep blue appearance to it. Probably about 2 mm round not elevated or red. Do you know if the blue color is probably just blood that has pooled up under the skin, or do you think this could be a vein underneath. By tonight or tomorrow morning the blue appearance will once again be gone and there will be no trace of it. The hue of the skin almost looks like the color of my hemorrhoids when they thrombose. Since the perianal skin is so close to the anus, I was wondering if this is just a vein that is weak in this area now from the injury I caused myself and also from previous being cut with the butchered episiotomy from years ago. Do you know of any other cell salt that helps strengthen veins and capillaries? I believe if this area could be strengthened, my ailment would disappear. I'd appreciate any thoughts that you have concerning the above.

Thanks again for reading my post and hope to hear from you soon.

To Overalready

Glad to read your report of progress with your Fistula in just 10 days which I believe has healed except for the external Hemorrhoid vein that you have accidentally opened up with your wipe.

I would suggest that you use the spray device that is commonly used here in Sri Lanka in toilets which I presume is also available in the US to wash after a stool. You can fit it yourself in your toilet and it will save you the mess of the standard wipe with toilet paper which can be the cause of many Fistulas which start with the infection that results from a dry wipe. The spray is easily controlled and projects a fine jet of water which washes any residual debris safely away which is very relevant in your case

I have always had a distaste of using toilet paper which i always use wet whenever I am traveling as dry toilet paper seems to me to be so unhygenic. .

I do not know if you are still using the AB ointment I recommended and it is essential that you do not further damage the fine skin over the vein which was opened up by your shaving accident and which is still in the process of being formed. The deep 'blue' colour of the blood is usual with venous blood which is what a Hemorrhoid comprises. You can place a small dab of the Neosporin on the spot after a clean up to prevent any infection which can occur when you sit down when the area will be stretched.

The Arnica will help to heal the lesion and you must take it as prescribed for life.
Ferr phos is the Cell Salt that will also help.

Hi Mr. De Livera,

Thanks so much for your prompt response. After reading your reply, I'm not sure if I explained where my fistula opening is. It is probably about 1/4 inch from where my external hemorrhoid ends towards my right leg. This is where the blue 2mm flat round mark is located. Again, by tomorrow morning the mark will practically be gone and it won't be visible to the naked eye. I'm assuming there are veins all around this area and due to my injury this area is healing and is weak from being cut. My right side of my anus is also where I have the thrombosed hemorrhoids. I've had this ever since the birth of my son, 14 yrs. ago. I am currently using all your remedies and have been putting the AB ointment on that location externally as well. I know your remedies are working to control my symptoms and am very grateful to you for coming up with this protocol. I will do as advised and continue with all the necessary remedies. Thanks again for everything. You are a lifesaver and I appreciate all your support and expertise in this matter. Have a great night!

You must consider yourself as being very fortunate that your razor did not cut into the external Hemorrhoid as this would have been a disaster and you may have had to undergo immediate surgery to stem the flow of blood that would have resulted.

I have not checked your previous posts and cannot remember if I have prescribed for your Hemorrhoid but if I have not, the remedy is Hamamelis 200 in the Wet dose taken twice daily. This remedy usually reduces the mass and it is very likely that it will disappear in a few days. It is also likely that your Fistula may also respond to this remedy.

Leave about an hour between remedies as you are already overloaded with them.

Hi Mr. De Livera,

Thanks again for your quick response to my inquiry. I searched a couple of vitamin/health food shops in my area and they didn't sell the hamamelis as a seperate liquid or mother tincture for my hemorrhoids. I looked on-line and saw that it is sold in the 200C and 200X versions. You can also buy the liquid or the mother tincture. I was wondering which would be best for me and my condition. I will hold off on purchasing the remedy until I hear back from you. Thanks again so much for your advice. I feel that I'm headed in the right direction because of your knowledge and pray that a cure will be in my future. Thanks again for your time.

The 200c potency of a remedy is not equal to the 200x.

You may only use the 200c as instructed in the Liquid Dilution in 85% Ethanol.

The Mother Tincture or Q potency cannot also be used.

I must admit to some concern that 2 surgeons whom you consulted have confirmed that your problem today is due to a Fistula. I presume that they had the advantage of visually checking you which I lack but I would like to hazard a guess that you suffer from Hemorrhoids which you have accidentally damaged with toilet paper and which has turned into an abscess today.

I would like you to start my standard therapy for Fistula which I shall copy below:

Joepathy Protocol for the treatment of Anorectal Ailments:

Silicea 6x Dose 2 tablets taken thrice daily to expel the pus from the lesion.
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose a capful of the bottle taken thrice daily to increase the flow of blood which in turn will help to rebuild the tissue.
Nat Phos 6x Dose 2 tablets taken twice daily after meals to soften the stools.
Ferr Phos 6x Dose 2 tablets taken twice daily to improve the quality of the blood to help heal the lesion.
Antibiotic Ointment like Polyfax or equivalent which is used internally on the tip of a gloved finger inserted into the anus after every bowel movement to keep the bacterial count as low as possible in the lesion.

This is my standard protocol for Fissure but since you may not be having any Pus being expelled as your lesion is on the outer surface of your anus, you may skip the Silicea 6x.

Please use the other remedies as instructed and report progress in a week.

Do not use any toilet paper to wipe. Use wet paper and install a hand controlled spray to wash after a bowel motion.

Do not even consider surgery.

To Joe,,
I got the Arnica 30c, liquid dilution 87% that you told me.I already prepared the wet dose.Only thing I am doubting is the dose your protocol says cupful of the bottle. Is a cupful mean eight ounces (237 milliliters)?
By the way right at this time I am in a good situation I am following your protocol again in a more strict manner and I don't have any pain and no 95% no pus.
Thanks so much again!

tek in texas last decade
I am copying my protocol below from my post immediately above yours to show you that it is only a CAPFUL of the remedy bottle that you will use as a dose as you did some months ago when you first used the Arnica.

You may like to know that a dose in Homeopathy can be a few drops up to drinking the whole bottle all in one go. It is the timing of the dose taken once or twice a day that matters.

Remember to succuss the remedy each time before you sip it.

Joe De Livera last decade
Hello Mr. Joe De Livera:
I'm a 31 y.o. male. For about 4 years now, I developed a fissure next to my anus, on the surface, that would come and go. Sometimes it would turn into a small abscess, filled with white milky fluid, and I would pop it and it would go away for about a week. It comes back over and over again. Now about 4 months ago, I noticed that I injured the inside of my rectum, and saw some blood. Since then, I developed an abscess, about 1.5 inch from my anus, next to the fissure that comes and goes. The abscess first got swollen and I could feel a lump pocket under the skin. I used aloe vera to rub on the outside and took hot sitz baths, and the swelling went down a bit for a while, but I could still feel the lump underneath.
I was studying your remedies and decided to try your jeopathy treatment of arnica in a wet dose, silicea, nat phos, Ferr phos, and ointment in anus. I have been doing this for 1 month. A few days ago, i noticed a little 'head' on the top of the pocket and I tried to squeeze, hoping that the bad stuff would come out. It seemed to burst and a little bit of clear/white fluid came out, but I also noticed some blood come out of my rectum. Now the pocket is swollen again.
What I'm trying to get to is, that I feel that your remedy was helping out, but there was no outlet for the liquid that is trapped inside. I read that you recommend Myristica Siberefa 200 (4pellets twice daily) to open up and expel the pus that is inside. Now my question is this: When I start taking the Myristica S. should I stop taking the silicea? and for how long should I take the M.S? Can I continue taking the other remedies while taking the M.S? Thank You so much for your time and for helping so many people with a difficult ailment.

'I was studying your remedies and decided to try your jeopathy treatment of arnica in a wet dose, silicea, nat phos, Ferr phos, and ointment in anus.'

I am glad to note that you have read the many posts on this thread and that you have started on my Joepathy already. This is the purpose of my sharing my discoveries in the use of Homeo remedies on a forum such as the ABC which has a wide exposure to the world as it is my wish that others too will benefit from my therapy, many of which are unique and have not been referred to in the classical texts. I am over 80 years of age and I am keen on sharing my discoveries with others in the hope that they will serve suffering humanity better manner than the classical remedies prescribed by the classical homeopaths.

You may have noted that in the process of my prescribing for various ailments, I have been criticized by a few pseudo classical homeopaths but I take this in my stride as I feel that it is more important that my therapy is copied by those who can use it like in your case where you have done so without first posting on this forum.

You state;
'I developed an abscess, about 1.5 inch from my anus, next to the fissure that comes and goes.'

How do you know that your lesion is so far up your anus?
What is the antibiotic ointment that you are using?
Are you following my instructions on massaging it inside with the AB ointment after every bowel movement?

It may be too early to use the Myristica S and I would prefer you not to use this remedy till later as there can be an overload of remedies which can be counterproductive.

Joe De Livera last decade
Hello Joe!
Thank you for your prompt response!

What I meant when I said that the abscess was about 1.5 inches from the anus is that it is next to the anus, to the left side. It feels tender and feels like a pocket full of fluid or something when I touch it. I don't know how far up inside the anus the lesion is, but I do feel it being sensitive when I use the antibiotic ointment. The ointment is called 'Bacitracin.' Now, I don't usually massage with my finger. I put the ointment on a cotton swab and insert it, after bowel movements. Is there a difference between both?
The reason I wanted to use the Myristica S is that I thought that it would make the fluid break open and drain out, which I thought was necessary to start the healing process. But if you suggest me not use it and continue instead with your remedies, I will do so. I want at all costs to avoid going to a doctor here in NYC, because I know that he is going to want to cut open the abscess for it to drain, and I've read so many horror stories about fistulas that keep recurring, because of that. That is why I wanted to try the Myristica. Please advise me on what the next step I should take is. Thank you again, you have given me hope and I'm sure hundreds of people all over the world feel the same way!

If as you state your abscess is 1.5' to the left of your anus, it does not seem to qualify under the title of Fistula, Fissure or Abscess (FFA). This is where the expert opinion from a qualified surgeon would be of help to enable me to prescribe the therapy indicated. You do not need to have surgery for it. Just his diagnosis and opinion would be valuable.

Questions:

How did your problem start and how long ago?
What treatment if any have you had so far?
When do you feel the pain? Sitting, standing or walking?
Why do you connect the lesion outside with the inside tissues?
What makes you think that there is Pus inside this lesion outside?
Do you bleed during or after a BM and does the inside feel irritated?

I would like to have precise details on this point.

Hi posting here and have made my own thread on this subject too - i'm just hoping for a reply so maxing my chance.

Heres my story:
Hi I'm hoping you may be able to help me. I've read up alot of replies on your site regarding this but all advice seems to be for adults.

Apologies for spelling in advance!
Could you tell me is there a remedy for an 11 month old boy (my son) who has had 2 perianal abscesses within 2 months of each other, but on different sites - one right side (3'o'clock) and one on the left side (9 o'clock) which came up within 2 months of each other - so had to have surgery (general anisetic) drainage for it which really was a bad time for him. All that packing and prodding in an open wound really distressed him!
Surgeons concluded that there was no channel linking the two abcess through his back passage. So that was good.
Although as parents we thought that both sites had healed proply - however before the post surgery outpatients appt at hospital my son had had a few small pus like spots appear right near each healed scar. We popped one of them to release the pus the other one popped of itself. We were worried it was a sign of abcess returning. However at the outpatients appt we told doctors of this and they then said its a sign of anal fissure and that they would prescribe 2 week course of antibiotics to clear any more infections and to return to them in 3 weeks - if he was still having spots then they want to 'have a look around' - CUT HIM OPEN and do a fissure op on both sides (weeks apart) one side first then the other!!!!

Well I am so scared for baby to have this again as he was totally distressed at being operated on and so many people prodding and looking at his bum over the last 3 months i don't want to put him through more invasive operations especially reading so many post on here about how the operations haven't cured anything. It also took him longer to learn how to sit - he couldn't sit till 9 months old had the first operation on New Years Eve at 7 months old.

We go back for the 2nd outpatients appt on monday and he has had 3-4 more pus spots since even though on antibiotics (so that means they didn't work). We have popped them ourselves and only a little bit of pus come out - like a spot you get on your face they are small - but filled with pus - and don't seem to bring him pain.

The pus spots don't seem to bother him so I feel like I am prepared to keep popping them as and when they come up (every week it seems atm) and hope and pray that he just doesn't get them anymore one day that they just disappear.

My questions are:

Is there any therapy we could try him on safely as he is a baby?
Is this something he will have to live with for the rest of his life?
Would surgery be the best option and how successful is it really?

Really hope you get to read this thread as not sure its in the right section.

Thank you

I have just read your post and must admit that this is the very first case that has been referred to me of a 11 month old boy presenting 2 abscesses. I have never treated a baby so young but feel that my standard therapy for adults which I presume you may have already read and which I shall copy below can help him.

Use wet paper and use a dab of an antiseptic ointment over the lesions.

Your baby's case is unique to me and I would feel safer if you can phone me on 9411 2696789 to discuss this case in detail.

I am also available on Skype and my ID is Joedelivera.

Do not use the therapy I have indicated above till we discuss this matter further.

Answering your questions:

Is there any therapy we could try him on safely as he is a baby?

As far as I am aware his case is unique and I am not aware of any alternate therapy other than Homeopathy which I am convinced is far better than further surgery.

Is this something he will have to live with for the rest of his life?

Let us hope and pray that my therapy will help your baby as it has helped many patients who have confirmed being cured on this thread.

Would surgery be the best option and how successful is it really?

Surgery has never been a success in the treatment of Anal ailments and
I do not believe that it is the answer as my experience is that it only leads to more damage to the anal tissue which in the case of your baby may be irreparable.

Do not lose hope.

Hi Joe De Livera

Thank you for your speedy response. Firstly I am amazed that this is unique to you - in the UK the surgeons told me it is common in babies!

Thanks for your contact details I will keep them to hand for the future however I'm not sure what else to discuss at this moment in time if you're not sure this remedy is right for his age?
Maybe we should do some more research too as I am worried about surgery.
Also is this an international number?

Many thanks

Dear Dr. Joe De Livera,

I am a 25 year old female who was diagnosed with left inchia rectal abscess last year. I did not have any such history before. I underwent surgery to cure it. After the surgery I used to keep the wound open by inserting sterile gauze in it for around a month or so till the wound healed. All this was around 6 months ago. However a month back there was new swelling at the site of the scar. There was no discharge of pus however. The doctor who saw me noted the following in his diagnosis - ' PR exam - small indurated area about 2.5 cm from anal verge. No internal opening seen or palapable [as indurated area internally]. No expulsion of pus or mucus '. The doctor also recommended taking hot sitz bath twice daily for six weeks.
I did as he suggested. But however a few days back the site of the scar swelled up again with a reddish color and also had tenderness to it. I was also experiencing pain and discomfort. Today morning pus and blood has discharged from the swelling which has also reduced. The doctor had said that I might have to undergo surgery again if there is pus accumulation or discharge. I do not want to undergo the painful process of surgery. Please advice me the treatment I should follow to cure me of this problem once and for all. This is a physical and mental trauma for me which I want to get rid of.

Regards.

To Sky

It is unusual for a 25 year old girl to present a rectal abscess as this usually occurs later on in life in my experience.

It is unfortunate that surgery has never been a cure for Anorectal AIlments and it is not generally known that the therapy I have pioneered to cure these ailments has helped many. It seems a pity that patients who suffer from Fistula, Fissure and Abscess are not advised to use my therapy as the rate of cure is high and is far more effective and far less traumatic than the repeated experimental surgery that is generally used.

I shall copy the therapy below:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you take a capfull which is the dose. Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.

Report progress in a week.

I am 47 year old female, married from caucasian background. I have three chronic anal fistula (5 years duration)and an anal fissure - all connected to inflamatory bowel disease. Surgery hasn't worked but I recently discovered some literature which suggests that higher doses of Nitric Acid can heal or improve long standing fistulae/fissures. I have tried 30C but there wasnt any noticeable improvement. Any suggestions?
