Dear Mafille:
Drainers, homeopathic or not, are used to open the emunctories increasing the efficace of the next treatments.
You can see the drainers as an image: when you want to change the look of your house, the first step is trhowing away the old things, stored inside; then, you clean the floor and the walls; later, you paint your house and change the decoration and finally you prepare your home with all the details you love and make your life more pleasant.
With Homeopathy is the same: when you have some ailment, first step to health your organism is throwing away the toxins (we use drainers); second step, you clean your organism and your organs (another drainers or the same ones); next step, you begin the treatment to change 'the colour' of your body and finally along the treatment, with changes in the medication or with supplements, you'll get a home sweet home in your body.
Drainers used by me (in very low potencies):
Nux Vomica (digestive system, specially big intestine)
Chelidonium (liver)
Carduus Marianus (liver and gall bladder)
Berberis Vulgaris (kidneys and urinary system)
Viola Tricolor (skin)

Warmest regards
Andrés
