This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi Molly

If you have burning feeling then you can try Cantharis 30 in wet dose for a few days.

Hello, Molly,

If you want to avoid sunburn in the future, drink a 'Budwig smoothie' everyday. Johanna Budwig was a famous German doctor who saved many terminal cancer patients and this was just one little part of her protocol. (Google her.)

In a blender, mix a few tablespoons of LOWFAT cottage cheese..it has to be lowfat..not fat free and a couple of tablespoons of flax oil. Add a tablespoon of ground flax seed. You'll have to add a little liquid to make it pourable and a banana and maybe some frozen fruit to make it palatable.

The combination of the flax oil with the sulphurated proteins facilitates many good things in the body, but a side effect is the fact that you do not sunburn! I know this from experience...I found out about it from a cyber-friend who said that she's a fair-skinned strawberry blonde. She said that before doing the smoothie, she had two colors...white and lobster! Now, she'll just turn a little pink in the sun. Oh, another important part of her protocol was sunbathing! (Did you hear on the news last week that our doctors have now discovered that sunlight may be good for us!? LOL!)

I put my husband on the smoothie and had him start working outside without his shirt. He never burned, his cholesterol dropped like a rock and his vitamin D level shot up.

Sorry to be so lengthy, but please try this...it's simple and effective.

Living in Spain..how wonderful, but your Irish skin will appreciate the Budwig Smoothie!

I don't know about Spain, but here in the states we find flaxseed oil many places but the health food store is the best place.

A few things to remember: you'll want 'cold pressed' flax oil and if you have a choice, get low lignan. You'll be getting all the lignan you need from the ground flax seed so it's a waste of money to buy high lignan oil.

Don't try grinding your flax seed in advance and saving it...it goes rancid very quickly and that makes it counterproductive. Just pick up an inexpensive electric coffee or herb grinder somewhere.

I thin mine with a little good water (no chlorine) and I like using banana, pineapple and frozen berries to make it palatable.

Do this every day then report back to us, okay? You'll be delighted at how this works and it's a lot more effective and better for you than sunscreen!

Nelson's Homeopathic Burns ointment is superb. it contains Calendula Urtica and echinacea. It stops pain within minutes oft time or at least within hours. I have used it for years for cooking burns, nappy rash, or athlete's run-rash, sunburn, in fact if it burns, put on thin layer and repeat often rather than slapping it on thick.
