Hydrocephalous
I have read the earlier postings in this gp on the topic. my daughter 5 year old has a shunt in her head to drain extra fluid. The shunt had to be revised a second time in March 2006. Eversince she complains of a headache at leat once a day. which the surgeons say may be due to fluid build up even after a functional shunt the headache goes off on its own usually after 5-10 mins but at times after half an hour. She complains of heaviness of head. Giving Cal phos 30 and Calc card 30 helps in betwee. In addition I have also been giving tuberculinum 200 intermittently but the problem persists. There are sometimes days 4-5 when there is no pain thru theday. If somebody can help then pl do post.anamika_gulati on 2007-06-21

Dear Doctor
Her head circumference is normal for her age as she had a shunt placed in her head after she was operated for meningomyelocoele at the lumbosacral region when she was 6 months old. Her head circumference increased terribly and she was crying inconsolably with constant vomiting. this was done when she was 6 months old. The shunt had to be redone when she was 4 years old. Now she is 5 years and 4 months , but complains of a headache at least once a day which is attributable to the rise in fluid . The headache is there since the last 1 and half years, though it happens for about 5-10 mins to about 30 mins some times.I will mail the size and her picture today evening.
Her TLC count done recently was within normal limits for all counts.
I am giving her the medicines you prescribed for UTI, do I stop them also and for how long.

I have not been getting a reply from you on hydrocephalus though i replied back to your queries. You are like a light to the darkness in our lives. My daughter has a shunt for last 6 years but is now showing low pressure mild hydrocephalus with severe headache and vomiting. She has been kept on Diamox Glycerol till they know the surgeons know how to respond to it. You mentioned a doctor whom i tried to spk to unsuccessfully. Can I have your e-mail or phone. Its an emergency and it would mean a great help to me if I can find a homeopath in Delhi who can help us in this critical situation

I posted my daughters case in 2007. Since I went to Dr. Pankaj Bhatnagar on the advice of another patient on this post, she did not need any further shunt, her a=headache got cured thogh mri still shows hydrocephalus.
He has cured hundreds of hydrocephalus patients especially those who acquired it later in life.
