Indicated Remedy Does Not Work

What are some reasons why a remedy perfectly indicated for a specific condition may not work...

For a remedy to work does it need to be the constitutional remedy even though the constitutional remedy makes no vast reference to ones chronic condition...

Any insight in understanding this would be appreciated...

Dear Dinkerb
please go through the book 'chronic diseases written by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann.
One must have a thorugh study of miasms and their complications to solve this issue, and answer your question.

Dear Dinkerb:
Mazharmhm is right, but we can write some reasons for this fault.
'Indicated' may not mean 'well selected'. If you search in therapeutics books on homeopathy, you can find for the same ailment a lot of remedies, but there is only one that will be effective. Then, to find a well selected remedy, we need to know some symptoms that can lead to this selection.
When we have selected the remedy, then we have to choose the potency, if the potency is lower or higher than we need, the the remedy can fail and doesn't produece the expected effects.
When a well selected remedy and the well selected potency, we can find a miasmatic background (ever present in chronic diseases), then we have to study what miasm is acting in the surface, and work with this one till disappearing, then we can go with the next miasmatic layer.
As you can see, there are several reasons to fail. Because of this, the most of time, homeopathy is an scientific art of healing.
