The ABC Homeopathy Forum

my acne won't ever end

I am 32 years old, male, 5'8 135 lbs. I drink a lot of water, I eat great, lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, etc. almost all organic. I don't drink soda or coffee, I do drink some green tea and Yerba Mate and have for many years now.I have had mild to moderate acne from the time I was 12 or so. Every once in a while I would get a very large painful cystic type of pimple along with the normal sized ones. Now I get larger ones nearly every week and they last for anywhere from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months. There was a time in my late 20's where I thought it was ending, but it started back again, worse than before. I now get large cysts on my cheeks near my nose and near my eyebrows and forehead a lot. I have tried all the over the counter stuff. Salicylic acid used to work great, but not so much anymore. I have just recently started using Adult Acnomel (Sulfur and resorcinol)which seems to make the pimples go away faster, but I want them to be gone forever. I have suffered with this for way to long and I don't even really like to leave the house and go out in public, except for work and even that is hard sometimes. I have been reading this forum and would like to try the arnica 30c remedy. Is this likely to be the way to go for me? Please help me. Also, would taking MSM or some other form of sulfur help? Since the Acnomel seems to be doing something.

+1 to faisel.

Also check out acne.org's message board.

4 grams daily of omega 3's will greatly help (not 4 grams of fish oils, but the two EPA/DHA total.

Tinctures I reccomend are:
-What Faisel said
-Dandelion Root
-Burdock Root
-Saw Palmetto OR Milk Thistle (do not take both at the same time)

Also check out
-Oil of Oregano
-10grams of B5 daily for 2 months helps many many people (almost 80%+)
-Vitamin A
-50mg zinc twice daily
-green tea extracts (do not take with fish oils)

Do you know of anyone that has tried Berbris aquifolium Q 10 drops or B5 and had good results(not just from hear say)? I think I read that taking large doses of B5 causes hair to fall out. Do you know if that is true? Is there an initial breakout when first taking B5? Again, does anyone think taking Arnica 30c is a good idea for me?

I am taking Berberis Aquifolium also (it is called Oregon Grape Root by common name) and I believe it helps.
Acne dot org's message board is extremly helpfull too.

Large doeses of B5 is safe because it is a water soluable vitamin, which means you cannot overdose on it. I have used B5 and it helped tremendously, it may break your skin out for a few days, but you have to take it at least for 2 months. The hair thing only happens when one does not take a B-Complex with it, so I highly reccomend you take 1-2 B complex per day, especially biotin which helps: skin, hair, nails.
As for Arnica 30C...no idea.
