Remedy for this type of mind

the mind is restless and impulsive,
easily distracted,
absent-minded, and not set on learning in the factual and moral sense.
with a bent to immaturity; there is still a potential for growth and deepening of learning,

In learning environments, the mind in need is marked by skipping from topic to topic, or superficially through a text, or rushing ahead impatiently.

Deepened concentration, savoring, and reflecting on learned material are not fully present. Consequently, learned material is not contained very well, although capacity for memory is usually present. It is the manner of addressing the learning material which prevents deepened learning from taking place.

Distractions are there; things are not taken seriously enough, or one may jump at conclusions prematurely.

In the Chestnut Bud state, the mind is restless and impulsive, easily distracted, absent-minded, and not set on learning in the factual and moral sense. Chestnut Bud treats a mind with a bent to immaturity; there is still a potential for growth and deepening of learning, especially in regard to one's reflective and reasoning powers.
In learning environments, the mind in need of Chestnut Bud is marked by skipping from topic to topic, or superficially through a text, or rushing ahead impatiently. Deepened concentration, savoring, and reflecting on learned material are not fully present. Consequently, learned material is not contained very well, although capacity for memory is usually present. It is the manner of addressing the learning material which prevents deepened learning from taking place. Distractions are welcomed; things are not taken seriously enough, or one may jump at conclusions prematurely. There may be inappropriate laughing or gliding over reprimands. These observations not only apply to learning environments but actually extend into parts of life where understanding and achieving are called for.
This includes the moral arena, where the same dynamic can be observed. Life's experiences, even if they contained lessons and painful consequences, are not integrated in such a way as to further character growth and inner wisdom. One glides through life rather superficially, living according to one's spontaneity and emotional motivations rather than balancing with reason, clarity, and meaningful reflection.
In developmental disorders, hyperactivity (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), and disruptive behavior disorders, Chestnut Bud helps the mind to settle into restful concentration and retain the learning material. In the treatment of disruptive, antisocial, or criminal behavior, factitious disorders, and malingering, when learning and growth in moral insight are not forthcoming, Chestnut Bud is of service
Since the mind is not very trained in constructive self-observation and the resolute fostering of positive aspirations, emotions rule much of the conduct. One is easily carried by positive as well as negative emotional content and may appear unreasonable, easily swayed, naive, emotionally unstable, impulsive, defiant, and somewhat lacking in integrity or depth.
People not willing to obey laws and adjust to a normal socialization process often are in need of this remedy. They do not learn readily from experience, are often heedless or careless, even after having been reprimanded or curtailed in their freedom.
There is also a bent to easy comradery, hilarity and joking.
Besides affecting the whole character, the Chestnut Bud state can also be experienced by a person usually strong in integrity and insight. A repeated tendency may exist, or there might be moments in life when one feels unsettled, easily distracted, more superficial in certain aspects of life, or one temporarily avoids to draw lessons from one's experiences.

To help the mind find calm focus and become receptive to reason, clarity, reflection, and development of inner wisdom.

You can try the bachflower remedies first, in cases like these.

They are to be used as it is, by mixing a few drops in water. There is no potency involved.

Try it out. For information sake, I will post a detailed analysis of the most indicated homeopathic remedies for similar problems a little later.

You are getting a bit confused. What you really mean is AETHUSA CYNAPIUM. :-)

It is one of the indicated medicines for the condition you mentioned, and it is going to be covered in the analysis.

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
Actually aesculus hipp is named as Horsechest nut in materia medica...

The condition mentioned is mentioned for CHESTNUT BUD a batch flower remedy....you can check

NOw i dont know whether the horsechest nut is chestnut bud ....

hisam last decade
Both of us are right. :-)

Sorry for the confusion from my side too.

**********

Aesculus hippocastanum is used in Bach flower remedies. When the buds are used it is referred to as Chestnut Bud and when the flowers are used it is referred to as White Chestnut.

However, it is Aethusa that is used in homeopathy for memory problems.

Aesculus in homeopathic potencies is generally indicated for many problems associated with back pain.

I will come back.

The desires and aversions he has towards food items may help, particularly towards milk.

The details about his thermal modalities are also needed. What sort of weather suits him best? Which type of weather aggravates him?

Since milk does not suits him, 'Aethusa' can safely be prescribed.

I couldn't find any statement in this thread regarding milk.

**************
Aethusa: Examination funk, as in can't take in any more. Stuffed with all sorts of knowledge or with just thinking about it all too much.. Suddenly jacks it all in. Brain has seized up from over-work! Just don't want to know anymore about it.
Getting really worked up at just the thought of the ordeal. Very fearful. Believing that you really can't do it, but equally frightened of failing.
Might be under great pressure from family or school. History of more blame for mistakes than praise for successes. Maybe you live in a family which has not allowed you to make your own decisions and take responsibility in the past.
You're getting sick of being put down and are likely to say, 'Up yours!!'
Feeling worse in hot weather and worse for drinking milk [sickly]

Gelsemium sempervirens: This is a good remedy when you feel almost paralysed before a difficult time. Your mind just won't move and nor will your body. Feeling dull and heavy and unable to put your mind to it at all.
Trembling legs and an urgent need to rush to the loo.
You are sure you will fail even though you have done everything possible to make it a success. You're lacking confidence and have negative thoughts.Headache as if a band round head, especially if you don't drink enough water.
It is particularly good for stage fright, actors who forget lines and lose confidence. They may look entirely stupid and as though they couldn't care less.

Lycopodium: You' ve probably done lots of work; much more than is necessary. You're the hard-working type whose confidence is low and who fears that others will find out that you are not as good as they think
Your biggest tests are any kind of performance in public - speaking or driving. You get petrified and start to sweat profusely even when thinking about it. Once the action actually starts you are usually fine and do well. Because of this and because you present a very confident front, your mates might well not offer you any sympathy or support.
You might well feel much worse around tea-time, so anything which you have to do then is very bad news. Missing meals will make things worse for you because your anxiety is felt in your stomach. You tend to fill up on chocolate or sweets.
Sleeplessness may be a problem, especially before midnight.

Anacardium: This state can feel like a total memory block. As if a different person did the practising or revision. No idea who that can have been. You totally lose self-confidence.
You have conflicting pressures in your life - maybe parents splitting up or you are trying to do something you don't really want to do.
You feel very angry and depressed; curse your mates and start to hate them. It is very hard for you to feel sympathy for anybody else - you feel cruel and hard.
Horrible stomach pains like a plug pressing outwards, which feel better for eating. You might even get constipated.

Argentum nitricum
People who need this remedy are quick, impatient and impulsive. You act first and think later. Being on time is important and you like to arrive early to steady your nerves. 'Wired' describes you well. As you tend to live in the future you fantasize about what a disaster it will be if you fail. 'But what if?'
The more anxious you become the more hurried you are; talking and walking faster and faster. Sometimes you feel your heart beating really hard, which is frightening and gets worse when you think about it.
There can be such a fear of failure you give up altogether and find it hard to start again. Your panicky feelings are so intense that you can't think of anything else.
You have horrible dreams and wake feeling dreadful.
A craving for sugary things is part of the anxiety and eating them makes you more jittery and gives you diarrhoea and wind. You feel absolutely exhausted and worn out after the event.
Plan your revision / practice time well
Remember you will only concentrate well for an hour.
