I was diagnosed with fibroid tumors in my early 30's.
Was told I could not get pregnant until they wrer
removed but got pregnant in Texas in 1996. I was 40
and a high risk , was told to terminate the pregnancy
that my child may be born deformed or no arms or legs,
this was a stressful time and I had ultrasounds every
week for 6 months. I went into the hospital with
anemia for 1 week at around 3 months. Was in and out
for dehydration and in for a leaking sac. At 28 weeks
I was started on celestone injections to speed up
Jennifer's lung development in case I went into labor
early. It was a very stressful preganacy but I was at
peace around 32 weeks. Jennifer decided to come at 35
weeks when my water broke. She was 5 lbs and 4oz and
19 and 1/2 inches long. She stayed undera oxy hood for
5 hours and by 2nd day she was drinking from the
bottle and the NG tube had been removed.
She received her 1st vaccine(my mistake) before she
left the hospital(for hepatitis B) I was told that was
when all babies got them.
She was growing normally and meeting all milestones.
She started getting ear infections around 4 or 5
months old and had her first round of antibiotics.
She had 8 ear infections from birth to 18 months and
so she got tubes at 19 months. each ear infection she
had a antibiotic. She got all the vaccines up thru
15 months old and cried a really long time afterward.
That is when she stopped finger food. She said the
word bear at 4 months then DaDa at 7 months , bye bye,
MaMa, and was growing normally.
She had hearing tests before the tubes and showed
hearing loss in her left ear which was reversed after
having the tubes. All hearing tests since then have
been normal. She spit up alot and we kept her on soy
milk, she developed a constipation problem and we
found out early on that she was allergic to polyester.
We moved to Charleston,SC when she was 1 year old. She
walked at 13 or 14 months old. She played with all her
toys and was curious and into everything.
Loved to open the cabinet in the kitchen and bang on
pots an pans. This stopped after the vaccines.
She lost eye contact, would not respond to her name,
started to hand flapp and toe walk. During this time
she was not sleeping well and would wake up in the
middle of the night.
So I started my search for an answer. I felt she could
be PST(have a phenylsulfatransferase deficiency). We
felt she had had a reaction to the 15 month old
vaccines. To try and detox some of the mercury we gave
her epsom salt baths and she loved them. They helped
her sleep. I started her on a probiotic for yeast
overgrowth and enterogard for a leaky gut. She also
received flax seed oil, DMG, colostrum, and a
multivitamin. She had irratic behavior on Tylenol so
we stopped that. She had and still has frequent nasal
congestion. We strated her on NAET therapy for allergy
elimination and she is still on this therapy. Then we
found out about Dr Megson's protocol so we started her
on Buffered Vit C, Vitamin E as Evening primrose oil
and Cod liver oil.
We the found a DAN doctor who agreed to try
Bethanecol.
She regained eye contact , and her speech increased
but is still more echolalic. We had a hair analysis
done and she tested high for nickel, cadmium and
arsenic. She had a double bout of gastroenteritis
while in Charleston that left her with a post viral
syndrome. We saw specialist here in Cincinnati that
felt it would resolve on it's own. It did but we had
to reheal the leaky gut.
She is a happy child, we put her through AIT therapy
because she would freak at the sound of the vaccum or
dust buster. It worked but she still has problems with
some sounds does not like the mixer or rattling pots
and pans.
We never put her in a preschool so she never got
exposed to being around alot of kids. My friends
children in Charleston but she just did not know how
to react to them, she mostly ignored them.
The DAN doctor tried her on oral secretin, immune
drops and MAB #4, Enzyme Potentiation, and BCG.
Some worked really well just showing more awareness,
more repeating, more interaction with us , dancing,
singing, and then he started her on an HPylori drop
which increased her eye contact and she is following
most directions, we are still working on potty
training, she knows all her ABC's, can count to 100,
knows the planets an dsome countries, how food is
digested all from CD roms, videos and leap pad games.
She practices watching her mouth move in the mirror
but when she gets over stimulated she will flapp her
hands and say over and over YEEE YEEE YEEE
Also she will get on her hands and knees with legs
streched out and 1 leg over the other. It seems to be
in times of stress-we think she wants more pressure
for some reason. She has OT and speech therapy.
She loves letters and numbers, rhymes and learning
them word for word. She can imitate the sound of an
instrument note for note. She knows everything that is
going on but tries to do 3 things at once. She will
want a video in the TV , a cd rom in the computer and
a book in the leap pad and goes back and forth between
them all.
We tell her we love her all the time, she travels well
and likes to go on trips. She sleeps thru the night
but often is up till 11pm.
She craves Juicy juice but will drink a half gallon
of milk
Loves to dance (mostly it is a jumpy kind of dance) or
she will imitate the people on her tapes
Very talented she loves to try to compose music on the
computer is what the teacher is telling us
gets bored if she already has done something several
times before and the therapist tries to get her to do
it again
Seems to dislike people who are stupid(at 2 years old
we think she told her speech therapist who was a male
and very loud and in your face --you suck but we did
not ever say this
Hyperactive to some degree-likes to keep moving but
will take breaks if it is something she is interested
in

run and laugh
giggles off and on we can't wait to find out what is

She is 50 lbs and 4 feet 3 inches tall
loves to try and read and we think she can read
At 2 years old she would take out of my bookshelf a
book on infectious disease no pictures and sit and
turn each page after a certain amount of time as if
she was reading the book
She has a great memory maybe photographic(she did as
Max did with the tile game)
Likes to hug us
Often out stretches hand in car as if she is starting
to conduct an orchestra
She is left handed and we are learning hand over hand
writing at this time
Likes to try and help the other special needs kids
learn to count(is what the teacher told us)
Can do puzzles, match , knows colors and at school
would not match a color photo to the same black and
white photo because to her they were not exactly alike
since they were not the same color.

New information as of this week: not eating very much, drinks milk, water, juice all day.
has to touch certain places on floor with foot before moving out of a room, waves fingers in front of face, only a little teeth grinding, scratches chest, legs, off and on everyday like something itching or crawling on her but nothing is there. Has fine tiny ckicken skin bumps on backs of both arms above elbow for 7 years now, maybe from vaccines-they all had thimersol in them, She had DPT,MMR,HIB all at 15 months old.
She has no conversational language but says juice, milk, or I want movie, lots of words and she can read but do not know how well because of language not being there. We do not know if she craves certain things as just seems to be a great deal of thirst.
