What will the effect be if some taking antidoting remedies. Some practioners can describe, for example, Causticum and Phosphorus. Do any know?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The tables that mention one medicine as anantidote for another are not of much help.

One medicine is an antidote for another only for some specific conditions.

Don't get confused between an antidote and inimical.

Phosphorous is inimical to causticum and should not be given immediately after causticum.

Vice versa is also true.

Strange. A homeopathic practioner recommended this combination for rheumatism for a relative yesterday. The only happened the first 24 hours was less fatigue, warm sensation in legs and less pain. At least, it seem to work very well for her (it does not mean it is good for many others). This practioner is educated and worked for 30 years and taking updating courses and her father was also professional homeopath for 50 years. The different opinions makes me confused, I only wonder how secure are homeopathy when it like this.

The patient may regret taking this combination later.

Keep an eye on the patient.

It is dangerous to prescribe like this, and safety should be the first concern of any homeopath.

might be prescriber of causticum and phosphorus is unknown to the homoeopathic anitidots. or he is forget to see the inimical list of drugs.

After causticum the phosporus can run but causticum can run after phosphorus

i.e
medicine - inimical(Medicine0
phosphorus - apis mel, Causticum
Causticum - coffea, Phos Acid (not the phosphorus)

and mixture of several medicine are not good for cure of the patient. Only single remedy is always dependable. if possible you can add the biochemic medicine or Mother tincher if required but more than two potency is not advisable. but in some cases Dr. Hanemann himself was using Rhus tox and Bryonia alternate.. so it is contraversial . now a days ... Dr. Reckweg, Willmar Schwabe ... are using no. of drugs in a on bottle and they are getting the result...

This is from the encylopedia of remedy relationships in homeopathy by Abdur Rehman

The most standard book on remedy relationships, published so far.

Causticum:

Inimical:Acet-ac,cocc,coff,coloc,Kali-n,Nux.v,Phos(Must not be used before aor after Caust)

You can refer Tylor's books for confirmation.

Any way, these lists keep varying from book to book, and the only place you can find all the referencces together is the above book, by Abur Rehman.

Many thanks for your replies. Should she quit take both Causticum and Phosphorus or just take one of them. Can the a inimical effect last long after taken 2 pills of each remedy (in 30D)?

Addition:

She is 79 years old and it seems that Causticum is more for older person, so maybe the Causticum is the best?

Yes. Try causticunm alone for a few days and observe.

Best way to give medicine is to dissolve in water and stir vigorously.

If you stir five times first time, stir it ten times next time, 15 times the third time etc.

Stop the mdicine in case of appreciable improvement/worsening/getting any other troublesome symptoms.
