Fever - 3 years old child

My 3 years old son is suffering from fever since today morning and the maximum temperature went up to 38.5 Degree Celsius. He was playful in the morning. His eyes becomes watery when he gets fever. In the afternoon, his face appeared slightly red and blushed and I gave a liquid dose of Belladona 30 at 13.30 hrs. Later, around 14:30 he took a nap for an hour and after getting up, I had not observe much improvement in his condition and gave a dose of Ferrum Phos. 6x. Now, in the evening, he still has fever around 38.0 Degree Celsius and he wants to be carried. He has a past history of ear and throat infections. I checked his throat and it looks slightly red, but not swelled. I will get his ears checked tomorrow and in the meantime, if I get some suggestions for a suitable remedy, I will appreciate. Thanks.

38.5 is nothing to worry about, if the child seems healthy.

Give ferrum phos 6x, frequently once in two hours.

Fevers without any complication should be allowed to run their course, as that will help the body to fight the infection on its own.

Today in the afternoon, I got evaluated his condition through our family physician and the physician found that his throat is red (Pharyngitis) and a deep cough appears like bronchitis with mucus inside. He suggested an antibiotic as well as an expectorant, but at this moment I am not intended to use those.

Yesterday late evening the fever went up to 39ºC and I gave him Paracetamol first and later a dose of Chamomilla 30. He did not have any high fever throughout the night.

You start giving him Hepar sulph 30c, one dose every three hours, maximum six doses and stop.

You can give paracetamol whenever the fever rises beyond 39ºC. Use paracetamol sparingly.

Report back, after you finish with all the six doses.
