The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Doctors HELP Fatigue, Bone Spurs

Hello to all doctors and forum members.
I am thankful that I found your forum and beg for your help. I have several illnesses I need help with. I want to use homeopathic but there is noone for me to see where I live.

I know it is important to tell you everything about myself. I am a 59 year old female who is 5’ 0” tall and weigh 145 pounds (I need to lose 25 lbs). Stocky build. Muscular but now I have thicker waist and belly. I have dark hair (turned gray after I got sick), brown eyes and light olive skin. My skin is very smooth and I don’t have any wrinkles on my face. I am a smoker about a pack a day and social alcohol drinker. I have about 2 mixed drinks a week.

I was born healthy and happy, a good baby, easy going. I had all the childhood vaccinations. I had chicken pox when I was 4. I had strep throat and rheumatic fever when I was 8 and had tonsils removed . I had measles when I was 16.

I had pneumonia when I was 25. I had kidney stone surgery when I was 30. I was in the hospital twice after that for stones. I was married for 10 years and got divorced. I have 3 healthy kids. After the birth of my third child I had tubal ligation and about 1 or 2 years later had to have both tubes removed because they said I had gangene (that’s what they said anyway) in my tubes. I had one ovary removed about 2 years later.

I had lithotripsy for the stones when I was about 45 and haven't had much trouble with them since then. I had shingles when I was about 45. I got tachycardia when I was about 45 but I didn't have to take medicine until I was 50. I had parathyroid surgery at 52.

I have degenerative disk disease and arthritis and bone spurs in my neck. This may be from a car wreck I had about 20 years ago causing 2 concussions, 2 contusions and a fractured skull. I got asthma and allergy problems when I was 58 and take allergy shots. I also have very small bumps on my upper arms under the skin. I apologize because this is going to be a long post I have had so many things wrong.

My memory is very bad. If someone asks me a question I know the answer but I cant remember it until later and sometimes I know the answer but cant say it. There is no time of day that this is better or worse.
My eyes are bad and have been since I was 8 or 9 years old ( -9.0 )and I wear contact lenses now. I dont hear well either. I have NO sense of smell. I would like to get my sense of smell back.
I feel better when I lay down or sit with my feet up. I sleep on my right side with my right arm extended under my head. I don’t sleep much so I don’t remember my dreams. My thighs feel heavy when I climb stairs. I cant stand very long and it bothers my to sit with
my legs down.
I have a lot of mucus from sinus or asthma. I have to clear my throat a lot. I eat a good diet. I have developed a sweet tooth since I’ve been sick. I also like salty, sour and spicy food. I am cold and have to wear warm clothes.
Except for all these ailments, I am pretty healthy. LOL. Really. I very seldom get a cold .
I am very easy going. I dont cry, but I get depressed because life is hard with bad health. I am sensitive. If someone hurt my feelings I would cry. I tend to let people run over me. I can’t take up for myself. I don’t want to hurt anyones feelings. I am shy and reserved now. I used to love being with people and entertained a lot but now I just dont want to be around people. I feel stupid because I cant remember stuff and I don’t know what to say anymore. I just want to be home resting and I don’t go out much anymore.

I have a good family relationship with my kids who are grown and live in other places. No grandkids yet. I also have a wonderful committed relationship with my boyfriend of 8 years. He is a fun loving, hard working man. He is very good to me. Very kind and loving. He enjoys cooking and so do I. We both love sports and watch ball games on Sunday when I’m off. I like to garden and I just pick out the plants and tell him where I want them and he digs and waters and we watch them grow and enjoy them. He loves people and meets his friends 3 or 4 times a week after work to tell jokes and have fun. I try to go with him about once a week if Im not working. We eat out 2 or 3 times a week. We have never had an argument. We both have our opinions about things but we don’t argue about it. I want to get well so we can have a life again.

My family history:
My Mother died at 62 with a heart attack. She had a goiter when she was in her 30’s. She had diverticulitis and heart disease in her 50‘s. She was not overweight and walked daily. She got tired easy. She was a wonderful mother. Her children were her main concern. She worked hard so we could have more and she taught us to work hard. She was very religious as were all her family but didn‘t push it on us. Her parents both died at 75 with heart attacks. My grandmother was a diabetic, overweight and had a stroke in her 60‘s.
My father died at 44 with cancer of the pancreas. His father died at 58 with brain cancer and his mother died at 82.
My brother was killed in a car wreck at 33.
My sister now has cancer of pancreas, gallbladder, liver and intestines. I would like to prevent the cancer and heart disease with homeopathy if I can.
My daughter had her first kidney stone when she was 28 and hasn’t had any since. She has tiny bumps on her arms too. Has PMS and painful periods. Otherwise very healthy.

My mother and father divorced when I was 3. My father was physically abusive to my mother and she had to leave because he hurt her many times. I was too young to remember but my sister told me about it. Maybe subconsciously I remember because I am terrified of physical confrontation. I can’t watch violence or scary movies on TV.

My current problem started about 8 years ago . I became tired, just exhausted all the time. I became too sick to work for 2 years. The doctor I went to was supposed to be the best in town and I went to him about every 6 weeks for 2 years but I didn’t get much better. He did find a problem with high calcium level and I had 1 parathyroid gland removed and I did get a little better after that .

After two years I went to a new Dr and he said I had fibromyalia and my tests show a lot of Epstein Barr. I take Cymbalta 60mg and Lyrica 50 mg for the fibromyalgia.
I also have hypothyroidism and take Armour thyroid 30mg.
I also have Tachycardia and take Toprol 25 mg
and I have arthritis and degenerative disk disease with bone spurs so bad the orthopedic said surgery wouldn’t help and take Meloxicam 75 mg for that.
I also have high cholesterol and ty to control it with diet.
I don’t sleep well either. I go to bed about 2am and wake up about 4 and go back to bed about 6 and get up about 8 or 9. I have medicine to take for sleep but I wont take it. I take too much as it is. I want to get off all medicine if I can.

My current Doctor has done a lot for me. I started working again after seeing him for about 3 months and that was important to me. I don’t have sore muscles anymore, just fatigue. My Doctor does a lot of blood work and treats me accordingly. The fibromyalgia is much better. It used to be painful just to be touched. I am not tender like I was before. He gives me medicine that makes me much better but we cant get rid of the fatigue. I have always been a hard worker and a good worker, very intelligent and trustworthy. Always on time and never miss work. I work every day and I sit 8 hours and take a break for 15 minutes twice a day and get half an hour for lunch. The job is very stressful. I go in at a different time every day and my body cant get used to that schedule even after 5 years. I am on the phone all day so I have to clear my throat a lot.
I am still tired all the time. The worst time is after I have worked all day but it is bad all day. I never have a day when I feel good and have energy like normal people. My memory is terrible. I can't remember anything. If someone asks me a question I know the answer but I cant remember it until later and sometimes I know the answer but cant say it. There is no time of day that this is better or worse. I have a good job but there is a lot of stress at work.
I need to exercise but it makes me very tired. I used to be very active lifting weights and walking for exercise.
I know my hormones have something to do with this illness because I took bioidentical hormones for a while and I got in balance for about a month and I was a new person. I even worked another job part time because I felt so good. I could clean house and do things other people do every day .They couldnt keep me in balance so I quit taking them after about 6 months.
I don't know much about homeopathy but I want to learn. I recently read Radical Healing by Rudolph Ballentine MD and I was very impressed with homeopathy. I would like to get off all medicine eventually. I think homeopathy will help me get well.
Please help me. Thanks Andi

Dr. Sharma, Thank you again for helping me. Unfortunatunately on question 35 my underlines didn’t transfer. The underlines should be:

Anxious, dullness, being overwhelmed, doubt and discouragement, fear and shyness, fear for the others welfare, fear of losing mental balance, feeling of powerlessness, hopelessness, lack of motivation and incentive, low self confidence, mental fatigue, mental/emotional and physical weariness.

I needed to add to this also.
37. Details of the adverse features in the Pathological ,ECG, XRay Ultra-Sound's tests already conducted
EKG,Stress Test-Normal Mammogram, Pap Normal, Ultra Sound Thyroid Normal,Bone Density-Osteopenia, Aluminum 4, Epstein Barr don’t know level but too much. When my pneumonia chlamydia gets high I take minoclyclineMost doctors say all post menopausal women have these viruses and wont give antibiotics, but they make me feel better.

But I noticed that your bp without medication is not very much higher. Although you can't stop it yourself (or, for that matter, on advice of anyone online!) did you consider talking with your dr about stoping it?

Andi,
How do you react to consolation?
What upsets you most about others?

Astra2012, thank you for responding. To answer the above questions:

I, like most people, like to be consoled at times. Other times I just want to be left alone.

There is not much that upsets me about others. I have learned to accept people as they are. They probably aren’t going to change. But I do hate gossip , cruelty, pettiness and laziness.

Actually I don’t take medicine for blood pressure. The Toprol is for my tachycardia, but it does take my BP down a bit. I can’t quit it or I will have an attack of tachycardia. Maybe there is a homeopathic remedy that will help the tachycardia and BP. I am certainly willing to try.
Thanks again.

Hello Andi
Of course do not stop your medication without dr's approval (btw does he know that you would eventually want to be drug-free?)

What are your symptoms?
We know the name of diseases like arthritis or deg. disk dis. etc but actually we are interested in YOUR reaction, like say arthritis: location, your sensation, what does make it better or worse -please do it with all symptoms

Astra2012 last decade
Astra, Thanks for answering my post and letting me know exactly what info is needed. I will keep a journal for a few days writing down all symptoms, the location, sensation, what makes it better or worse and report back when I have the details. I’m sorry, I just didn’t know exactly what was important.
To answer your first question, I go back to my doctor in a couple of weeks and I have talked to him about discontinuing drugs. He said I can wean off some medicine so I have been cutting down on them for awhile. I have to take the Toprol or I will get tachycardia and I have to take the Armor Thyroid every day or I feel weak, even my voice is not strong . I take allergy shots and have been taking them for about 18 months so I probably will have to take for about 6 more months.
I took the Cymbalta 1 a day for about 4 months and the Lyrica 1 a day for about 3 months and I started cutting back about 2 months ago when I was thinking about homeopathy and I have only taken 3 pill of each in the last 6 weeks and I won’t be taking any more of these medications . They did help me feel better but where does it end. Pills, pills, pills, I hate them and hope to find a better way and I think homeopathy is it.
I know this is a forum and I am grateful for any help I get here. I also understand that it is not meant to replace a homeopathic doctor but there arent any in my area or probably in my state. I hope that if I do need to find one that someone on the forum can recommend one in a another state. Do you live in USA? Thanks again for your time. Andi

Andi9 last decade
Yes, I live in Pennsylvania (close to Philly).

Very good idea with the journal.
In homeopathy we base the remedy on symptoms (as descirbed be appearance, location, modalities=what makes them better/worse).
Allopathic drugs make it difficult because they not only change your reaction bt also often antidote hom. rem. (but with so called split dose it is definitely worth a try)
(maybe you are so fatigued because you are drugged?)

it would be the best bet for you to contact a homeopath in person, like (in Ky):

Andi, Please request a sleep study to be done. MANY of your symptoms are indicative of sleep apnea. Good Luck, Elle
