Atopic dermatitis
My son is almost 6 years old, suffers from the problem of atopic dermatitis since 3/4 years(mostly behind the knee and elbows)..it doesnt bleed, but feels scratchy. sometimes topical application of coconut oil helps and sometimes it doesnt.dermatologists advice mild steroid based creams which we havent used except maybe once.
Some other problems frequent upper respiratory tract infections, fevers always of high grade (104+), change of weather definitely brings some infection or fever.
he is a happy child, very active and very sharp with high intelligence.
likes cold drinks (not colas..but drinks that are cold), hates milk and any drink made out of that (infact i dont think he has ever had milk after 2 yrs of age, and even before that it was either force fed or the feeding bottle was given while he was asleep), likes boiled eggs, loves salads and fruits, would be happy to take just that for meal.
Recently he has had a very bad bout of high grade viral fever for 15 days (no antibiotics, all pathological tests done twice were clear) and then a secondary upper respiratory tract infection for the same no. of days (anibiotics given for 10 days!). its been a month now since that. i feel that his body which used to be on the warmer side now remains a little cooler, also the gruffiness in his voice has not gone and the dermatitis has also erupted behind his knees and on the elbows. the immunity level needs to be strengthened so that the frequent sickness episodes reduce.
at present i am giving him 5-phos 4tabs thrice daily. also gave him carbo veg30 for 6 days thrice daily.
please advise

I totally understand what you feel. I was struggling with my son's atopic dermatitis since he turned 1 month. He had eczema all over his body and pretty much entire face. Today he is 19 months and free of eczema. I want to share with you what worked for my son. Pediatricians would prescribe aquaphor, eucerine, you name it----would not help his eczema.....I refused to use cortisone creams---they are so bad for health...Thanks God!, i was lucky enough to find a homeopath--Mr. Gray -- who is famous all over the world. he lives in Bay Area, California. Firstly I was skeptic because I did not see the results right way, but as he promised me---it would take an year to cure my son--he indeed DID! I am so grateful! Please please don't use then creams - they only prolong the situation---take him to a CLASSIC homeopath. or if you are in California, write me I will give his contact info. Now I believe that eczema can indeed be cured!!!

I have 4 months old and have been fighting with eczema and food allergies with him. We have been using steriods from last 2 months on his skin but nothing is working. I am also giving him 1/4 teaspoon of benydrl...rash gets light and another day again back to how it was. Its terible...i am working mom and breast feed him 100%..people are discouraging me to breast feed and tell me to move him to hypo allergic milk. i am so much confused and dont know what to do. He is allergic to wheat, corn, oat, cow's milk, egg, soy, lentins, chickpeas and peanuts. we got the blood test done RAST and his numbers were really high IGE was 657 kU/L dont know what to do.
So what does your experince say? Can you please help me here...thanks.

Hi! I have been suffering from eczema for 32 years and now its getting better... Not doctors, but in sake of the internet.. many sources helped me a lot, but mostly this site, thats why I highly recommend it to you: The blog is called myatopiceczema com
It is written by one guy who has been suffering from dermatitis / atopic eczema and tried many many treatments, but now he´s really well.
You can find lot of advices here, f.e whih creams should you not use, something about treatments without antibiotics, about sunbeds, probiotics creams, showering and many others...
