That is a wrong impression. The potency choice depends upon the sensitivity of the patient, the vitality, and the symptom similiarity with the medicine.
Some sensitive people do get benefitted on low potencies in al levels, mental, emotional and physical.
It is not wise to give the higher potencies to the older people, whose vitality happens to be low. It is better to start with a split dose of lower potency even for mental problems, and rise it gradually if necessary.
