The ABC Homeopathy Forum

depressed friend

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'd like to get some advice about my friend who gets depressed sometimes. I have depression and I knew that he did, but it took him a while to admit to having it. He's 21 and from England, so he drinks a lot too. I don't know if that contributes because they're so used to the effects of alcohol in the UK. Last night, talking to him online, he was the worst he's ever been. He said he had cried a little in the afternoon, but felt physically ill all day, as well as feeling numb, shocked, and empty. He also said he was feeling very vulnerable. He's never said any things like this to me before and I want to get him help, but I've had experience with Western medicine and psychiatrists. It's like going through a drive-thru fast food place. They just want you in and out so they can get their check. I'm really into yoga and reiki. Although I'm still rather new to this end of the therapy spectrum, I am slowly and gradually feeling the effects. I feel more relaxed and I think that's what my friend needs as well. But he's never done anything like what I'm doing. I did give him a couple reiki sessions and he really liked it, but it'd be hard for him to go and do something on his own. Is there anything you can recommend that's not too 'out-there' for him to start with?

although akshaya has recommended a suitable remedy, the solution to this problem is not homeopathic.

please persuade your friend to abstain from alchohol and utilise his spare time in some other interesting work, take up a hobby for instance.
