Recurrent strep throat - adult

Hello.

I am 34. Ever since my oldest kid was born (4.5 years ago) I am getting strep throat. I have another kids who is 2.5 and is getting lots of strep throat as well.

In the past 4 year I probably had it 3-4 times a year. Usually up until now it was accompanied with fever and my doctor prescribed antibiotics which seemed to help for a while and then I got it back.

4 months ago, my family left the US and we now live in a different country. Since then I got strep 4 times and it seems it’s the same one, I got antibiotics 3 times and it doesn’t go away. The strep is not accompanied with fever or any other symptom (I generally feel good, apart from the very bad sore throat).

I usually starts from the left side and if not treated it’s spreading in a day or two to the right side.

When the pain starts it’s worse at night, but after a few days it’s so bad, I can’t even talk also during the day (usually this is the time I give up and start the antibiotics).

I am gurgling salt water and drinking fresh squeezed lemon juice to try and bit, but the results are not good.

Right now I am already on my second day of my 4 strep in 4 months and conventional medicine doesn’t seem to help me (my ENT told me he thinks I should have my tonsils removed).

Trying to find alternatives lead me to this forum.

I am trying to find a homeopathic doctor, but it’s already Friday and it won’t happen until next week, is there something I can do in the mean time so I don’t end up taking another round of antibiotics?

Thanks for reading all this.
