Athlete's Foot

Hi,
I'd like help from anyone, and if you've had definate success please say so. I've had athlete's foot Jan 2007 on my left foot. I finally got rid of it about April (I think) and now here it is December and I have it AGAIN. But this time I was surprised I got it, I slept with socks on twice and it was really hot so I guess that did it. I don't know how to get rid of it and I don't want to wait as long as I did before. Plus I want it gone for good!
I've tried Tinactin spray and that didn't work, so i got an oxistat cream from the doctor and that's what I use now. Also Goldbond powder in my shoes. I don't know what else to do.
My toes are red and swollen I suppose, especially when I take a shower. I try to keep them dry but it just seems to take forever or doesn't work at all. They don't really itch like they did the first time.
Also back when, I had what we supposed was a small ringworm on my inner elbow (this came AFTER the atheltes foot) but as my foot seemed to get better, my elbow never got better and it's been there since, it's barely grown over this whole year but still there.
Could I have made that any longer? Help Please! I know there's got to be some cure for this.
