Another try to mt chronic throat problem. Help please
I post again the information:Age 34
Male
1,80 m
82 kg
I sweat easily since I was a child. Any surgical operation. Until I was 18-19 I could go in winter with a simple pullover, now I must take coat, scarf, gloves. Even though my favourite season is winter and I like cold weather.I must to be care with temperature changes, with cold drinks and food.
I´m a quiet person, but nervous inside. A little shy and reserved. I suffer from haemorrhoids and sometimes I´m too much irritable and touchy.
Besides suffering from sore throat I have not any other ailment or important illness. my problem is I have repetead infection in my pharynx/uvula/final section of nose. I think all begin when I get cold (draught air, exposition to cold weather)and SPECIALLY when I drink or eat cold food or drinks. For example I have to warm even mineral water to drink to prevent a new inflammation.
5 years ago an homeopath gave me
H. Sulp 200c + Merc. Solub 30c + Sulphur 30c.
At the begining it was fantastic, but with time it came back, less severe but not disappears.
I have tried several remedies with no succes.
1. Since when? What happened then?since 15 years ago. Really I don't know what could happen then. The only thing is I stopped going to gymnasium.
2. What do you feel? When swallowing, or at any other times, or all the time?
When talking?when I get cold, my nose7pharynx start to itch and sting, my nose start to run and 1-2 days after I have a terrible pain in my throat.
Normally al left side, then to the right and then all around
3. Anything brings you a relief? Warm/cold drinks?
clearing throat?warm drink relief me, but only for a few.
Do you have any mucus that you can spit out-describe it?I have mucus passed 5-7 days and they are green-yellow and smelly
4. see your throat and tongue in mirror-describe them.
my throat is red and my tongue with a white layer on
5. are you taking any medicines?sometimes I take ibuprofen or paracetamol.

Try 3 doses of Merc. Sol 30C at half hour intervals. Not to be repeated.
The sensitivity to temperature change , dirty tongue with sore throat all point to it.

As you can see I took time ago Merc. Solub. 30c. During this time I've reading and learning homeopathy. I start almost always on left tonsil, this could be Lyc., don't you?
Otherwise, I'll try what you recommend.

Only 3 doses at half hour intervals (I suppose total amount of time 1h30min)of Merc30, in pellets for example?
By the way, I forgot that when this process begins my blood pressure changes (from min8mmHg-max12mm to 9mm-13mm

If you have already tried Merc. Sol 30C ( I assume not in conjunction with Sulphur and Hep Sulph) , then you should try 3 doses of Lachesis 30C at half hour intervals.
e.g. One dose now , second dose 30 mins from now , third dose 30 mins after the second.
3 pellets = 1 dose.
e.g. One dose now , second dose 30 mins from now , third dose 30 mins after the second.
3 pellets = 1 dose.

Yes, Merc. Sol 30 was in cojunction with Sulphur and Hep Sulph. Is there any problem with this combination?

Oh yes, there is a big problem.
In combinations the remedies dont act well.
In fact they do more harm than benefit for the longer run.
Since you already have been on 30C in this mixture, Take a single dose of Merc Sol. 200C in the morning, and report status in 10 days.

Wow, an accreditated homeopath gave it to me. He learnt in Mexico and has a dilated experience. I can't understand the disparity of different opinions in homeopathy. It seems that everyone has a different criterium.
When I took it I really relief at the begining, but with time I came back, but not so worse as before

In a few words can you tell me what are the main interactions between these remedies, or you mean that ALL combination of remedies are not indicated?

1. although Lyc covers sore throat worse cold drinks it is always first on RIGHT
Acc. to Murphy if it first starts on LEFT it is syph or sabadilla
2. About combinations: since they never were proved it is not classical homeopathy.
They might help-like in your case-but what's next? Usually when improvement stops patient takes higher potency. Of which one?All of them? Did you try it again or in changed potency?

you are right and Lach. is if it starts on Left side as well.
That's the big question I have, if I take such combination, which one of the remedies will cure me? Really I don't know, just only trying each one separately and viewing my reaction, don't you?

yes, lachesis also starts on left (I'm just not sure if its sore throat is like yours).
Do not take combinations - nobody has any idea what you have in combination: separate energy patterns of individual remedies or something new.
And when it doesn't work you do not know if none of the remedies is any good, or one woulld cure but others prevented it.
If you took a combination of 3 remedies and it helped you it might be that

Another peculiarity is that empty swallowing, or swallowing of saliva or liquids, aggravates a great deal more than swallowing of solids. The pains in the throat run up into the ears. There is much mucus in fauces, with painful hawking. In tonsillitis and diphtheria, swelling of tonsils begins on left side and extends to the right (Sabadilla). The pains are aggravated by hot drinks (reverse, Sabadilla). All these symptoms are peculiar to Lachesis, and are all apt to be very much worse after sleep. In old quinsy subjects, where the trouble always began on the left side, I have often not only aborted the attack, but cured the predisposition thereto.
The relief from hot drinks contra indicate Lachsis.

I said 'I'm not sure...etc' to be polite (I'm so nice!). I know about Lach. having different throat symptoms than J. J.'s symptom is very much like sabadilla or syph. but since that combination with merc.sol. relieved... Or maybe it was palliation: what do you think?

I too think Sabadilla might relieve the patient. You might be correct about the palliative response to the combination.
However , lets try to watch the response to merc. sol 200C.
After that I think he can give Sabadilla a try.

I was thinking some more about that and thought that if it had been a palliation than he would have felt as bad as before starting that combination. And he felt a bit better (Did you J.?)
So maybe something there started a cure but wasn't strong enough and you prescription of mer.sol. 200 is perfect!

Oh, yes I supose that's the problem with combination remedies, you cannot know which one is responsible.
We all must wait until I try Merc. 200

I took Merc. Solub 200 6 days ago and no improvement. In fact, I'm now with a terrible sore throat again

Pain on the left tonsil and behind uvula propaging to all throat. Difficult to swallow. Worse with cold drinks and food, better with warm but temporary.Burning pain. At the moment no fever, but little increase in temperature.Palpitations and bood pressure from 8-12 to 9-13mmHg.
And slightly trembling of lower jaw.
Probably tomorrow fever, more pain and red throat with impossible swallow and talk.

Read from the beginning. He seems to be a hepar. case in general.
He needs a dose of Tuberculinum too later, when he is free of symptoms to prevent the frequent recurence.
Sabadilla may temporarily relieve him in the initial stages, but may not hold.

The mental irritability , worse from cold , amelioration from warm drinks, difficulty in swallowing all do point to Hepar.
Maybe J can tell us if he feels 'something stuck in the throat' sensation. Though not necassary , this might confirm Hepar.

I'm on the bed, with fever and a terrible pain in the throat.All the throat wall is red, burning and inflamed.My nose is blocked but running transparent mucus.Very swollen, like an oedema in both sides of the nose.Inside I have greenish-brownish mucus.
I don't mentioned before, but another homeopath sent me Hepar Sulph 10M one year ago, but no improvement since the first treatment with hepar 200c.
I hope you see it more clear now.

While we keep discussing about the remedy that is likely cure you, to tide over the present crisis take ars.alb 200c, three doses spaced around four hours.
Report back after 24 hours of taking the first dose.
