Dear Dr. Mehfooz,
As you already know there are many meds in homeopathy for this purpose that can be prescribed after due case taking and trying to find the constitutional med.

However, most patients come to a homeopath at a late stage...i.e. after having taken lots of allopathic meds.

At that stage, to resort to constitutional correction through homeopathy does not bring the desired results....most times.

I have consulted many practising homeopaths....and seen them prescribe for High BP.

Some of the effective answers are:

1. Mixture of Crataegus Oxyacantha Q and Lycopus Virginicus Q. Specially where heart symptoms are also present and there is frontal headache etc.
The meds are added in equal proportion.

2. Mixture of Crataegus Oxyacantha Q and Rauwolfia Q.
this has also helped many patients.

3. When symptoms match...and only when symptoms match...Lachesis works well.

4.In addition give Kali Phos 6x ....three times a day.

Side by side giving miasmic remedies (depending upon symptoms) such as Sulphur, Psorinum, Thuja, Nitric Acid, Mercurius do help to a useful extent.

Resorting to Ayurveda....Muktavati is a great med...without any known side effects.

I can write more on this topic ...however...in the current situation will suffice with this.

Will interact more later..

I too have heard good reviews about muktavati for controlling B.P.

Glonoine is useful on SOS basis and won't cure the problem.

However it is a very good medicine for emergencies.

Dr. Mehfooz,
Strictly going by aggravation between 4 pm to 8 pm...to my mind the suitable med could be Lycopodium. (Flatulence has to be there as well).

Rush of blood to head is most frequent in High BP.
Yes Glononine is suitable (as suggested by Dr. J.K.Mohla) when there is rush of blood to head and headache from sunrise to sunset. There is also constipation. There has to be throbbing sensation in the body too.
Also the patient forgets known roads etc. while walking and lands up in the wrong direction....due to confusion in the head.

Some people have been taking Arnica 6 one dose every day....and have reported normalisation of high BP.

Joe has been always recommending Arnica is split doses. Another person came to ABC Forum about 2 years back and said that he was 75 years of age. Had been taking Arnica 6 one dose every day for 20 years....and his BP remained normal. Prior to that he had huge problems.

Actually, correction in diet side by side is very necessary.

There is a seperate thread started here at ABC Forum by Dr. Deoshlok where he recommends Bach Flower remedies.

I really thankful and for the help extended by my colleagues but I would like to discuss as under:

'The agrravation time is 3PM to 6PM and after lunch'

'The patient feels confort in Open Air'

I have been treating him keeping in view his symptoms but the above two symptoms are very guiding symptoms. I could could not find the porper medicine who works particular in the above stated time.

>Lyco does not help I also tried it.
>Golonine some times helps
to some extent but fail to recover.
>Craetagus: helps him in the whole day in split doses but cannot hlep him between 2PM to 6PM
>Rawolfia did not help him

Again thanks all

Mr.Murthy or any other friend:

Could you please give me any guidline or any reference (Book or site)regarding AGGRAVATION/AMOLIERATION timing of medicine:

O.K.

If there are no characteristic symptoms except these modalities , it is difficult to zero in on a medicine.

I tried to see if there is any specific book regarding these time modalities but failed to get any.

The list by Sthillaiyah perhaps can be expanded by others by refering to various repertories.

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
dear Sthillaiyah,

Thank you very much for providing the information. Out of these I have also tried Bell which you indicated in your referred medicine but it does not give permanent relief only timely.

Mr. Murthy,
You promised to reporatised it keeping in view the available symptoms but the result is still awaited.

I tried to repertise with available symptoms, but am not satisfied with the results I got. That is why I wanted more details.

How did he know that the aggravation is only during the period he mentions?
