scaly palms/red skin - Strange Exzema Please Help

Since last november I have dry scaly palms, red itchy skin on both forearms and red skin around the toes and half of the foot of left foot only.

It started about 10-12 weeks ago with itchy fingers. Then the palms became as if they were severely dry and cracked.
Within a week bright red spots appeared on both forearms(like chicken pox) and some reddness appeared on the face around the nose eyes. My nose and ears became dry and red. Back of the hands became dark red.
Fortunately the face, ears and nose cleared up within a week.
The spots on the forearms slowly faded and the whole forearm became brownish red with dry scales.

I went to two doctors, both prescribed cortisone cream which I did not use.

I use calendula for the cuts on my palms and Vasalene. I have also tried Aconite, Rhus Tox without much success.

At present I have dry palms which crack and become scaly.
Forearms including elbows are reddish brown with light scales and right foot(the front half is red)

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It appears that you were exposed to poison ivy or poison oak.

Take Rhus Toxicodendron 30 once a day for a week.

How to I take Rhus Toxicodendron 30? ie in what quantity?

Why do you think it only appears on one foot?

Possibly just one foot was exposed to it.

Take four small pills of the Rhus Tox. Or if in liquid, take four drops.

Extremities, cracks skin, hands, palms of : cist., merc-i-r., petr., sulph.

If rhustox fails try Petroleum 200c, 4 pills as a dose, three doses, spaced around three hours.

No more medicine. Wait for a week and report.

It may not be eczema per se. There's a possibility that it's due to chilly climatic change. In that case, Petroleum as suggested by Murthy will relieve.

I am almost sure it is not due to cold climate change. Before in cold weather I got some crackes on the back of the fingers due to cold/dryness but never on the palm.

You can't be sure about this occurrence. Any way the location still gives indication for petroleum. As suggested above try Rhus and if that fails try Petr.
