event-driven anxiety

I am a newbie to homeopathy so I wanted to ask advice on a problem I am having and what some suggested homeopathic treatments might be. As per the posting instructions, I will try to keep this as concise as possible so please feel free to let me know if my description is not detailed enough or if you have any specific questions which would help you to make a recommendation.

I am suffering from a feeling of anxiety that is generated by anticipation of a future event. The event in question is my cousin's wedding and the reason it is causing me such anxiety is because my ex-wife is going to be there (who I have not seen since our very messy divorce several years ago). The anticipation of running into her at this event is driving my anxiety. My anxiety physically manifests itself by causing problems with my digestive organs (stomach & bowels) which in turn causes nausea, indigestion, diarrhea (sp?), and even vomiting. I feel better when I am very busy with any sort of task (which in turn keeps my mind occupied) and worse whenever something reminds me of the upcoming event (2 1/2 months from now). I have had some problems with low-level anxiety in the past when anticipating upcoming stressful events (big dates, public speaking, etc.) but this is much worse than it has ever been. I have had no major diseases, have never tried homeopathy, and have not had any adverse effects to medications in the past. I do not have any foods that I have a particular attraction or aversion to (when my stomach is upset I do not want to eat anything and when it is feeling ok I eat whatever is readily available). My levels of sleep have been reasonable (about 8 hours per night), but my dreams have been restless of late (naturally, my ex-wife usually makes an appearance in them).

I guess my first question is can homeopathy help with a problem such as mine? If so, what do you all recommend?

I have done a little research and I was considering Argentum Nit. since in the descriptions I read it specifically mentions anxiety caused by upcoming events and digestive problems. Would this be a good option or would you recommend something else?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
please go through GELSIMIUM as well and check the generals and other symptoms which describe your personality best.

any of these two should help you.

please take only one or two doses of 200c potency on a single day.

I believe that you will find a definite cure in Arg.Nit 200 daily as suggested above.
Arg.Nit has specific results on Anxiety that shows up on your gut.

arg-n is ok choice--but only single dose--1 peelt ei n 4 oz water--stir -- 1 teapoon dose--assess response and then decide next coarse of action--unnecessary dosing --if 1 dose gives respionse is not what is wanted---alos knock opff coffe use--only aggitates anxiety issue---this goes for teas --but more so coffee----concerning wife--depending on ur inner emotion about her---other remeduy need be used----it seems there is ongoing anxiety---and if existed while was still happy and with wife--then thats one thing--but if started after divorce--thjat is another---if anger resentment to her---we lookning at staphysagrai--nat m----as said if been ur thing for long time going back to beforer wife even--that is to be considered--also in this area sexual transmitted diseaes can be behind --all depends---but for bad aid affect--single dose arg-n--may or may not touch ur personal ill----more info will be needed either way to proceed with any intelligence---observe and keep not after single dose and report response or no response----reguarless of what is told --no needless dosing---maybe need repeat maybe not--depends
