Suggestions for Stpping Nexium Remedy

I have been taking Nexium for many years and I want to stop. I have heard that the original heartburn problem may have been caused by too little stomach acid, rather than too much stomach acid and that the older you get (I am now 76), the less stomach acid your body will produce. I have read that one solution is to mix one teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar with water and a little honey and drink this with each meal. However, I don't have any idea of how much water to use. Is it 1/2 cup, 1 cup or perhaps as little as only 2 ounces? Please help. Thank you.
