Insomnia / Hormones

I've suffered with mild insomnia since January this year - probably averaging four or five broken hours per night. Despite being exhausted I can't nap during the day which is frustrating. I suffer from PMS in the form of depression and weeping for approximately one week before my period. The combination of the two is not a good one and I feel like I'm permanently tired and grumpy. I have been to see a homeopathic doctor who gave me Lac Can. This seemed to help with sleep but not with hormones. At my last visit he upped the dose to 1m which I have to take am and pm once per month - I haven't yet tried this and wonder if anyone has any idea if this will work? It's such a knock back when things don't work. I'm 30 and vegetarian and exercise regularly.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Stop taking lac-can,post pms symptoms; and note in the post when they occur prior to menses, during flow, after menses.

I'd already taken 1m morning and evening last Friday. Haven't suffered any PMS symptoms (which are usually now) but haven't slept a wink for three nights. I'm not supposed to take the lac can for another month - shall I just not bother? If not, what can I do about my insomnia?

Thanks
