Found right rememdy for insonmia..need advise on dosage to start

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Never heard of "ch."
Look under remedy potencies post.

I suggest 200X to try. One does not need to go high when dealing with a remedy for sleep. Take one dose about 8pm if you go to bed by 9:30 or 10. If you are earlier take earlier, etc.

If awakened later take another dose. None after 1am as you may sleep in late when you wish to go to work or something else, like children to school.

In this case I suggest placing one dose in a glass of good water, stir vigorously and 1 tps is 1 dose. More is not better!

One is trying to reform a habit of sleep by using the remedy. As soon as improvement, stop the remedy by taking only one dose and then stop.

I have found that some people get help from the food supplement, Melatonin. (Do not buy the one with purple lid.) Should be about $5 or less for 60 to 90 tablets.

CH is nothing but C,made by Hannemann method.The other verity is CK,made by Korschoff method.Both are esssentially same,except the differet mehods.

Coccoulus works well in lower potencies.Get 30CH and start using it two times a day,for a week,and post feeedback.

Avoid more than a peg or two of alcohol.It is foolish to drink more,and take a medicine to counteract it.More alcohol,stops you from having a comfortable sleep.

Are you sure you are not depressed? More sleep or lack of sleep is sometimes caused by depression.

By the way, do you have your days and nights mixed up? Sleep during the day? This symptom calls for ARNICA.

Depression also causes wish for liquor sometimes. It is quite sneaky.

Get coculus 30 tomorrow and start taking twice a day,for a week.

Been reading up on cocculus. Maybe it would be good for you to list your symptoms in single sentences (easier to read)You mentioned the restlessness between 2 and 4 am. This is a specific symptom. Blessings, Sabra

I had insomnia for 4 years! I took EVERYTHING (herbs, Rx drugs, homeopathic remedies, "special" formulas) and nothing worked; some of the "sleep" remedies acutally had the adverse affects.
I was initially diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Systemic Candidiasis and learned that 80% of people with CFIDS actually suffer insomina. Then a doctor gave me an article about a probiotic formula which I started taking and during the healing process I became able to read and think again!
Then another doctor that was treating me ran a cortisol test(cortisol is produced in the adrenal glands) and my levels were exceedingly high. So...I started reading about the adrenal glands and cortisol production. I also talked to others with CFIDS and most of them slept all the time, and, amazingly, their cortisol levels were very low! So, I decided to find out how to treat the adrenals and found out that vitamin C (the adrenals use more vitamin C than other other organ system) and vitamin B5 help to heal exhausted adrenal glands. However, my probiotic eventually staightened out all my adrenal hormones...it was amazing.
So, what I am suggesting is checking out your cortisol levels which increase due to stress and nutrition deficits. Also people who work nightshifts force their internal "clock" to work in reverse and getting back on track is difficult...but, again, an adrenal and brain chemical thing (seratonin/melatonin...).
So this same doctor that ran the cortisol test told me to sit in the sun 30 minutes each day for proper seratonin/melatonin chemical production.
The lab my doctor used to run these tests is Diagnos-Tech who offer a whole lotta different hormone tests; pretty good diagnostic tool!
You might try to find an osteopath who is knowledgable about the adrenals and cortisol and hormone productions. Maybe Diagnos-Tech has doctor referrals?
Acupuncture is also a help. I LOVE acupuncture. Some chiropractors are also trained to do acupuncture.

Vitmin C: 4000 mg per 102 lbs of body weight; increase dose when under stress (to tolerace (which means until you have diarrhea!)) Solgar makes a good Vit C with bioflavinoids, etc.

B-5: never take a single B vitamin alone. All Bs work together. So...Take a good B-complex with an additional 50 to 100mg of B-5, in divided doses. Have you ever looked at the "stress" formulas? They are primarily vitamin Bs!
Brown rice is high in B vitamins...and it tastes good too!

Let us know if you embark on the adrenals suggestion so we can share your experience with others...unless you're sleeping too much to write us!

As a homeopath into the Miasms for many years this case screams of the sypilitic miasm .
Lueticum, Kali Iod, Merc & Ferrum suggest themselves but Aur Met is good foe depression.

Ginseng IS supposed to be good for the adrenals. I did alot of reading several years ago on ginseng and you need to be sure you're taking the right kind. I don't remember which was which but if you have sincere questions I will try to find my data.
I took astragalus for my adrenals also but the probiotic is really what straightend out my cortisol levels. I had a severe headache for 2 days; nothing made it go away..but then...the next day my insomina was gone, to never return...this was 8 years ago!
I AM acquainted with Primal Defense. It's a complicated story and I'll try to be brief.
Rubin Jordan is who developed primal Defense but his product is a rip-off of the original product Nature's Biotics! You see Rubin almost died from Chron's disease and then he found Nature's Biotics and it cured him. So he changed the basic formula and now markets it!
I have talked to many people who have tried Rubin's product to no success! So..I would recommend your switching to the "original" product distributed by Life Science. Go to their website naturesbiotics for more information.
From my experience, I will say again, the only thing that "cured" my insominia was Nature's Biotics. During the time I suffered insomnia I learned to live with it. You might try accepting this problem; it makes life alot easier. That is, quit trying to sleep when you can't! Just get up and do something! I slept about 4 hours a day but it was during the daytime from about 10:00am to 2:00p.m., sometimes 10-4. Messes up your life but nothing you can do about it. If you're not eating organic foods and drinking and bathing in purified water, switch now. These three things are essential for good health!

VALIUM! This drug gave me nightmares that were so real I was frightended for days! Why are you taking this drug?
