5 months baby/skin rashes on cheeks, arms, legs

our son is now 5 months. He's been suffering from skin rashes since feb-08.

It all started with small dry rash on his right cheek then came his 2nd appointment for vaccination in feb-08, after that, it started to get worse, the rash on his right cheek got bigger, dryer, & worse, then spreaded to his forehead, left cheek, near elbows on both arms, near knee on the side of both legs. Baby is on mostly formula, the 1st three months on similac & now on Enfamil. Since last 4 weeks, baby is now eating gerber cereal.

We went back to see pediatrics, he couldn’t diagnose what kind of rashes they are & prescribed hydroxyzine, the aniti itching liquid. It only helped for a while. We called back the pediatrics, & he said, its baby acne, will go away its own. Nobody seemed to know what kind of rashes they are, what caused them & how to treat them.

Symptoms:
1:Both cheeks have very dry rashes
2:Both arms rashes are even drier than cheeks rashes,
(skin is drier & harder, color is darker than rest of his body)
3:Both legs rashes are drier but the skin is less harder & less darker in color.

Treatment:
1:Hydroxyzine (only helped for a while) stopped 1.5 month ago
2:Baby eczema cream from Gentle Naturals (also only helped for a while) stopped 1 month ago.
3:Shea butter 100% pure (still using but no improvement)

Whenever we put him down on his bed, he starts to rub both arms & legs against the bed sheet( must be very itchy) when we pick him up, then he doesn’t rub.

Baby is very active. Time of aggravation, before night sleep, sometimes in the middle of night.

After reading so many posts, I was thinking to give him sulphur 30c but need anyone‘s suggestions & recommendation. Please tell us what we should do at this point.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Describe the appearance of his skin particularly affected areas, his thirst, urine, stool, etc.

Obviously this is a reaction to the vaccinations, you can leave it and it may go away in time of its own accord. Otherwise there is Thuja, Maland, Silica, Sulph, Ars alb.
Look up these remedies and see which on fits closely to him.
Regards.

Aggravation time, his rashes become redder & itchy.

Rashes are less red & itchy when he is playing or relief.

I have sulphur in 12C & 30C but gave him 4 pellets of sulphur 30C in 1 oz of water this morning.
How much & how long should I try sulphur?

SKIN CONDITION:
Both cheeks are red, dry, very tiny red or white pimples, skin is falling

Both arms (near elbow) have dark brown color patches, skin is hard, very tiny red or white pimples.

When I put shea butter on his arms & legs rashes, it feels like if you rub your index finer against your thumb with salt.

Both Right legs on side(below knee) same as above
I noticed last night, more few very small size rashes in gaps have appeared on his right thigh, near baby bottom.

THRIST:
We haven’t given him plain water yet.

STOOL & URINE:
Urine is normal. Stool almost daily one time.

Since we have put him on Enfamil, stool is very sticky, dry & color is very light lime green.

When he was on similac, stool was less sticky, soggy in dark green color

DIET:
Diet is good, gained more weight.
5-6 oz Enfamil every 3-4 hours
Gerber cereal with banana one time a day
Yesterday, we made a puree with one small boiled potato with formula milk.

Thanks Dr. Tahira & others for your help. I haven't ordered Nat sulph 6x and kali Mur 6x but as I said before, I had sulphur.

After giving sulphur for 2 days, I see a big difference. His skin is less red, dry, less darker in color but itching is still there. he still rubs his both arms & legs against the bed sheet.

should I continue to give sulphur or wait for Nat sulph 6x and Kali Mur 6x?

I think you should be careful not to give to much of Suplphur or he might 'prove' it.

hey erin, thanks for reply but i didn't understand, what u meant by 'prove it'

What he means is by over dosing symptoms of the remedy will manifest and become permanent.

Why did you shift to 12C from 30C? Thats not quite right either.
