how do i treat oral lechen planus

Hi;
My name is Phil . I am 63 Yrs old.

My Dentist thinks I have LECHEN PLANUS but no biopsy taken yet.

Symptoms:
At first I had white lace like spots inside both cheaks and a slight burning sensation on same. Bottom back of lip has very small pimple irrations. Bottom deep gum line seems dry. Sometimes the top gum line feels the same. Right side of Tounge rough. At first the symptoms were severe. I felt like I had TRASH MOUTH but as time went by and had all my dental work completed and severity has reduced. I think not using strong mouth washes or spicy foods has helped.

I tried predisone 7 pack (7-6-5-4-3-2-1) which may have been the cause of its reduction above but still it persists for over 2 months now.

It started with heavy stress on Jan 1st 2008, then I had a toots Gold crown get infected with alot if irratation that I was trying to fix myself by cleaning it out vigorously daily for about 2 weeks, which irratated my month more. I tried some Penasylin with no help. When my mouth errupted with OLP I went to the Dentist and they cleaned my teeth and deep cleaned my gums on that side(right bottom) and the tooth irration was gone. But OLP remained. So I've been going back and forth to dentist and Doctors for 3 months now with no result and here I am asking for help. Is there any?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Phil
