Effexor-weaning

In January (been on meds over a year 75 mg) I started experiencing severe side effects (major headaches, panic attacks, blurred vision and dizziness)--went to the doc, she believed I had built up a tolerance and doubled my dosage. In adding to making the other effects worse, I also had anxiety, mood swings, inability to focus, etc.---went back and said I wanted off. I started weaning by dropping to 75 mg and taking 10 mg of Imipramine(Sp?), 4 weeks later dropped to 37 mg---at this point I'd had it and decided to speed up the process. I took no additional drugs and began weaning by taking 37 mg daily for a week, then every other day for a week, every 2nd day and so on. I got to the 6th day and this is what happened:
Massive hot flash, didn't feel right, panic attack, and then fainted.
Took my 6th day pill that night. Next day:
Almost fainted 3 times, lost all color, became disoriented and had to be laid down. I started to drift in out of an awake state (I was awake but couldn't really respond, overwhelming sense of tiredness), extreme dizziness, purple toes, tingling in fingers, strange heart beats, extremely low blood pressure (76/54) very slow pulse...off to the hospital I went.
EKG's, Echos, Bloodwork, etc.
Returned home after 24 hours with a heart monitor
The following two weeks I was extremely fatigued (sleeping 10 hours at night and another 4-6 during the day), still dizzy, still funky heart beats, still panic attacks. I'm finishing up week 3, a little less tired (but still a good napper), still get periods of blue swollen toes and thumb is still numb. Some dizzy spells. Worst of all i don't feel like me. I haven't had any meds for 3 weeks (as of yesterday---didn't take another after my trip to the hospital). How long will this last? Any natural relief out there? Any suggestions? I was prescribed the meds for PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder)
