You have been a frequent visitor to this forum and by now you should have known that it is difficult to prescribe homeopathic medicines on the basis of 'this for that' in an allopathic way.
You also might have observed that when they are prescribed that way for chronic problems which were there for a long time, the response to the medicine was very poor.
Impetigo is the outward manifestation of some other deep seated dyscrasia. A homeopath tries to treat that so as the patient's overall health improves and he will become less and less prone to these diseases.
The situation is different for 'acute' problems like coryza, cough, fever etc. We can and do prescribe on these forums for such cases.
So please don't take me amiss for being abrupt in my previous post. I did it intentionally to make a point.
I know you will come back and give me a chance to explain all this.

Glad to be seen :-).
I understand clearly the way homeopahty works. I respect the knowledge of homeopaths. Their job is very demanding.
I did not misunderstand you, but this time I did not want to start searching for a homeopathic medicine, because this is the first time we have impetigo.
Impetigo is a streptococ/stafylococ infection. It is very contagious. First my younger boy caught it and now the older one, too. If either one will get impetigo again and it will be chronic, I will defenately come back to this forum. But as I just said, this is the first time we have this and I took the easier and faster medicine.
By the way, my little book (of Chatherine Delplanque and Henri Fagard) asked to give Graphites, Ant crudum and Mezereum. I do give them as well, too. ( I know, there are different opinions on that, too).
