Clammy sweaty itchy scrotum

It has been quite some time that I have had the condition, and am hoping to make this a definitive way to find relief as well as help others with the same issue.

About a year ago my symptoms started with an itchy area around the folds where the scrotum meets the leg, as well as the perineum. It was unbelievably itchy, and led to overly aggressively scratching. I tried everything over the counter then (lotramin, tinactin etc), and it helped while I was using it, but then the symptoms came back. I would use daily/2x daily for 2ish weeks.

Because it came back, and was a serious issue, I saw someone about it, and they prescribed Ciclopirox cream. I used that to no avail, and then was prescribed ketoconazole to no avail. (when I say no avail, I just mean, that these things seemed to help while using them, but nothing rid the problem)

Over the course of the year, now I notice that my major issue is that there is a clammyness (wet, and crawly, and tingly) of my scrotum, and the underside of the shaft that rests on the scrotum. To the point that everything gets really wet down there. Still itchy at times, but that is the secondary concern to an unusual sweating. The clammyness is to the point that inhibits some things I would normally do.

I find that it is more comfortable to wear tightie whities because I can use the close cotton fabric to absorb some. (boxers have too much skin on skin that aggravates the situation) By the end of the day however, I wish I was in boxers that could breath better.

Other things that I have tried was to take a vitiman B suppliment, eat more yogurts and cranberry juice. Actually also tried Monistat cream (mixed with vinegar) because I read about a male version of a yeast infection, which sounded plausable.. Basically I am at my wits end, and really want to get this taken care of so I can get back to my normal life.

If anyone can help me, I would be immensely grateful, as I am sure other readers will be as well. I am at the point I am willing to pay seriously anyone who can help me, money and Karma points. I look forward to hearing soon, and appreciate any response! Thanks in advance.

Dear Patient,
Along with medicine you can apply coconut oil prepared by heating coconut milk extracted without even a drop of water. The coconut milk thus extracted is heated in a dry pan till oil starts appearing, pour it into a airtight bottle for further use.
Apply oil on the affected area before bath and then take bath using mild soap.Do not apply soap directly over the skin, just apply the lather and wash it of immediately. It wiil be better if you do not apply soap for few days. Please try.Hope for the better.

Thank you Dr Gopakuman and deoshiok for the quick responses.

deoshiok- i tried to research this item, and found that it was meant for a dry, hide-bound condition, not for a wet or moist condition, which is my primary complaint. Also, is the croton tig a local solution or do you take as a pill? Can you tell me more about this and any possible side effects if you still suggest I take it?

Dr Gopakumar- to prepare this milk, would I just pour the regular milk of a coconut into a saucepan, and heat. Once any oily surface appears, pour all contents into bottle, or do i need to fully reduce it? Also, would it be okay to shower/ not bath, and the use of Ivory soap briefly on the area. (i feel I need to wash thoroughly because of the amount of sweating)...

Thank you both for the replies, will try soon and report back. Any other suggestions are welcome as well.

Dear Matt,
You should extract the coconut milk without even a drop of water.Pour this milk into the pan and boil, when the oil appears, allow it to cool and pour only the oil into a bottle and can be used daily.
Shower bath is good.Apply mild lather to the affected area so that it will not make the skin dry which will induce itching and subsequently scratching.Hope you will feel better.

Thank you Dr G.. I will try this when I can get a coconut (not readily available) and I will report back with the results.
Just to confirm, I apply the oil before taking a shower, and at first do not wash it off, then just use gently soap.. How long (many days) do you suggest this, and should it be 1 time daily.. I feel I may need to wash the area more thoroughly if it will be more then a few days ... Thank you again for the tip, I will post back with results...

Dear Matt,
From 1 coconut you can extract approximately 15 ml oil.You can apply daily once before shower for 1 week or more.

Matt - I feel your pain. You have described my condition exactly. The only difference is that I don't think I sweat as much as you, but I certainly do sweat & itch(right wear the penis lays on the scrotum). Also, when an erection stretches the skin, it gets worse. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer. I've just begun trying 100% virgin coconut oil (thanks to your questions here), and keeping my fingers crossed.

Dr. Gopakumar G. - What do you think about 100% virgin coconut oil instead of actually cooking the coconut milk? I'm a very private person who happens to live in a full house.

I would appreciate any ideas.

I have had the same symptoms for several years. Many anti fungals have been tried, some actually seem to irritate the area.
Has the coconut oil worked?

Neosporin helps calm the itchy somewhat for me.

To me it feels like tiny peripheral nerves are irritated giving off some histamine response. I also get an instant numbness over my left ear that I do not hear out of when the area is scratched. Like others I would give a monetary reward for relief.

Croton tig 30 is a medicine for internal use.

You need to post full case history...with details of illnesses you have gone through from childhood till now.

I don't know which country you belong to ...however if you have access to off the counter meds from India...Boro-Plus is a herbal medicine for external use. Apply the cream externally and it will give relief as well as help to gradually heal up the area.

For a lasting solution, you will have to give detailed case history so that an appropriate homeo med can be suggested.

This appears to be a case of deep seated fungal infesction.
