Ok, here goes:
1. Hair fall and thinning
2. High cholesterol, high blood pressure (Verapamil). I typically struggle with fatigue. Ulcerative colitis under control via cigarettes
3. Hair fall is very stressful
4. Anxious, sad
5. January '08 things started with the hair loss. When my mom was terminally ill in 7/07, the boils started. This all began around and shortly after her passing.
6. Morning my hair sheds the worst
7. Caffeine and alcohol make the shedding worse. This is no surprise as they stress the adrenals. Nothing else seems to have an effect one way or another
8. Yes, there are proven hormonal abnormalities - slightly high testosterone
9. I feel best during dry weather, cool or hot (but prefer cool)
10. I am positive and agreeable/changable.
No change in how I feel around storms
Yes, I like consolation.
I'm sensitive to noise and light but not excessively so
No typical habits or gestures
I love my family, although it is shrinking now that I've lost my Mom and my husband left
11. I do not have repetitive dreams
12. I crave coffee and chocolate and am averse to peppers
13. Thirst was normal until I began prescription Spironolactone (a diuretic)
14. Less hunger
15. I can digest most things well
16. Sweat seems normal
17. Bowel movements are daily and formed
18. I have difficulty falling asleep and often wake up. I sleep on my side.
19. Yes
20. No usual symptom except perhaps reclusiveness lately
21. Accutane probably caused Ulcerative Colitis in 1997. I'm currently taking Verapamil for high blood pressure, no side effects from it.
22. No major diseases known
23. I have a very small frame and am 5'1' tall with brown hair, brown eyes, fair skin. Tan easily. Thin, 115 lbs.

The hair loss slowed for a week. Now it's back with a vengeance. Any other thoughts? I'm thinking it may be thyroid related due to high adrenal cortisol, high testosterone, and pesky low iron stores. Help appreciated!

please go for ars alb 200c one dose every 2 to 3 days.

You should go see and endocrinolgist. High cortisl levels might be due to cushing's disease. which is a very serious illness. It is a difficult condition to diagnose. If you levels of cortisol are high it's a strong indication of a problem.

Thanks, I've tried the endocrinologist route and they say I do not have Cushings. They say I have 'mild' androgenic dominance or something like that. Spironolactone is helping a lot so far, but no relief for the hair loss yet

Dear Web Diva,

I am very sorry for the loss of your mother, loss of your husband and the health problems you are facing. I jusy came across mentioning of SAHA syndrome [seborrhea, acne, hirsutism (excessive body or facial hair) and alopecia (the loss of hair)]. It seems to be caused by 'higher levels of dihydrotestosterone within the skin.. and effective treatment must include a comprehensive method of down-regulating testosterone and dihydrotestosterone'. Please visit site skintactix (sorry cant post the full link) and check Female Acne Issues page for more information. I am not affiliated with the site, was just researchjing acne information and came across both your posts and their website.
I hope that helps. Best of luck and I truly hope that you will conquer these health issues and will regain happiness in your life.
