Enterococcus faecalis

Has anyone heard of this bacteria? My mom contracted it during a 3rd surgery after breaking her femur. She is battling it with penicilin right now but doesn't seem to be leaving fast enough. The doctors want to go in and remove the prosthetis completely and leave her without one. They say she is too old and too frail to undergo yet another surgery after that. It would be her 5th. Meanwhile, does anybody know if there is a homeopathic remedy or combo that will help get rid of this? Would totally appreciate your help.

Thanks for taking the time for this. Please note I am responding for my mom who is hospitalized and unable to do anything. However, I will respond in the first person as she would herself could she do this. Here the responses to your questions:

Patient ID: Sex: Age:
Female, 78 years old

1. Describe your main suffering?

Swollen leg from bacteria, causing fevers, excruciating pains.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Suffer from angina, diabetes and also undergo dialyses 3-4 times per week. Aslo have osteoporosis. Also going through periods of delirium on and off.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Wanting to die; occasional bouts of intense fear; occasional bouts of anger.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

Discouraged; i've had enough suffering; I want to die - despairing.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

This particular bacteria appeared after a 2nd surgery to replace my fractured femur and hip from a fall at home, after being home only 2 weeks from a 4 month hospital stay for lung edema.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

Whenever fevers strike, but always have terrible nights.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

They are trying penicilin which I am allergic to, so they had to 'de-sensitize' me before giving it, so now they can only give low dosages. When that is working I am better, but at present it's not working any longer and the bacteria seems to be attacking in revenge. Nothing makes me better. Maybe having my children around me but very little else.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

No - this suffering is completely pathological and 100% the fault of incompetent hosptial hygiene and doctors. I don't even notice different environments when in fever mode and in pain as I am.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

Usually I prefer cool weather, but with this condition I seem to be always cold.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

Stong willed and independent; pretty unchangeable but it happens occasionally; suspicious; distrusting; easily offended; determined; steadfast; consistent.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

No issues that have been noted.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?

Yes, as long as I'm not being patronized or belittled in my sufferings. I also like to have my children around me and sadly they aren't able to be here.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

Yes, bright sunshine hurts my eyes. I often feel nauseated by just smelling food and am very sensitive to the hospital smells.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?

Not that I'm aware of.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

Husband has been deceased for 20 years but I'm still angry at him. I feel abandaned by my chidren. I have some good friends but am only now starting to trust one of them almost completely.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

I fear for my children as they are all ill in one way or other. I fear for their futures and their lives. I fear that the doctors will cause me even more suffering instead of helping me. I fear losing my mind and being unable to think for myself. I fear being unable to walk again, to be able to do the most basic things for myself. I fear being put in a nursing home and left there to wallow in my lonliness. I fear being abandoned and left in the hands of people who are uncaring. Fear of being starved to death. I fear living the way I am right now.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

I crave 'humid' foods like legume stews (lentils, chick peas, favas, etc. soups, pasta dishes.

I have aversions to tough meats - any meat if it's not braised or cooked slowly in liquid so that it's still juicy. Just the look of dry cooked food makes me nauseous.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

I'm not allowed to drink more than 6 oz. per day due to my dialyses. However, I seem to always feel my mouth is too dry and need to take sips more often than allowed.

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?

I'd say it has gone from not wanting to eat to being excessive - always hungrier at meal times, never finding the portions of the hospital food enough and having to supplement with other stuff.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

I can not stand milk and cream products or foods. However, I love cheese.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Hardly sweat at all.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Suffer from IBS so will be constipated one day and have the runs for several days. They are giving me meds in the hospital to try to manage this.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

Due to my injury I am not allowed to sleep on my side the way I prefer. Am forced to sleep on my back but I find this very uncomfortable and don't sleep well at all. I prefer side sleeping.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?

Not applicable. Don't even think of this at my age.

20. What peculiar or strange sensation do you have in any part of your body at times? Do you sometimes feel ‘ as if…..’ in some part of the body?

Yes, sometimes I swear that I have cancer in other parts of my body. I feel the same kind of pains I had in my kidney area before they discovered the cancer in the kidney. Also, very important - since they started me on the penicilin, my hands are always shaking to the point that i need help eating and holding things. it feels like i'm losing my mind and i'm losing my ability to control my body.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

Still on penicilin - as mentioned above the hand tremors are intense.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?

Heart disease; cancers; diabetes; auto immune diseases: multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, shogrins.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.

Just under 5ft tall; greyish blond hair - cut short; about 140 lbs; brown eyes; larger breasts, smaller legs; fairly upright posture; well groomed when I am able or when I can get someone to help me.

24. (ONLY FOR FEMALES)

If you are not having normal menstrual cycles, please answer the following questions:

I have completed my menopause as I am 78 years old!

Thank you for your help. this is getting urgent as the bacteria seems to have become more aggressive. Looking forward to your response.

the remedy which will bring relief to your mother is ARS ALB.

if your mother is on penicillin, the remedy may not show its response.

however, you can try ARS ALB 30C every four hours for 2 days and see if there is a change in her mental and physical sufferings.

please note that ARS ALB is a very close of match of all her symptoms and would definitely work if it doesnt interact with penicillin.
