recurring uti due to emotional stress

Hi,

Over the last 2 years i have had recurring UTI's which my GP continued to prescribe strong doses of antibiotics for. About 8 weeks ago now they started destroying my immune system. Managed to get myself referred to the homeopathic hospital and was prescribed phosphorus which i have taken and a follow on remedy of sarasparilla - to take in weeks time. I felt great when i took the phosphorus but am now a bit burny again. I have been given a spare course of phosphorus to take in 3 weeks time if i felt i needed it. Could anyone tell me why i have to wait.... Are there adverse affects of taking it or both remedies so close together,
Thanks Kirsty

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The reason to wait is this :

Homeopathic medicines provide an impulse to evoke a response from your body, and it is that response which cures and not the medicine.

So, while the body has not fully responded to the previous dose, further doses act as interference.

In your case, I suspect you need to repeat a higher potency of Phosphorus.

So, you need to find out which potency was given to you when you felt better.

As an example, if you were given 30c at that time , you need to take JUST 1 or 2 doses of 200c this time, and then wait for body to fully respond to the dose.

As a pointer, it can take about 2 weeks to 6 weeks for most people to respond to a single 200c dose of Phosphorus.

My feeling is , (IF Phosphorus is the indicated remedy), that the higher potency will give you permanent benefit.

Thanks!!! I was given lot's of information and couldn't remember it all. Makes sense now. Just to let you know though the potencies i was given were phosphorus 200c then 12 hours later 1m then 12 hours later 10m. The spare dose i have is the same potencies. Thanks again, Kirsty

Hmm.. that is not the way medicines are prescribed for chronic problems.

Jumping potencies so quickly is not recommended unless it is an acute emergency.

Be careful about taking a potency as high as 10m. It is just not needed.

I do not think Saraspilla was needed (again a wrong practice to prescribe a follow on medicine when the other medicine i.e. Phos was giving benefit).

A potency like 10m , should have been left alone to do its work, especially since you were getting benefit.I think if you had not taken Sarsapilla , you would not have got your problem back.

If I were you, I would just take a single Phos 200c dose and watch the response for 2 weeks. Wait for as long as there is improvement happening and when you reach a plateau in improvement and there is still some problem left , you can repeat a 1M dose.

Doesn't matter , we never give a follow up remedy unless the symptoms change.

We let the body respond to one medicine at a time, and the trick is to keep raising the potency for the doses(repeating ONLY when the improvement reaches a plataue and the same remedy is indicated based on the symptoms). We never repeat the same potency after the body has reacted completely to the same potency.

Only when the next set of symptoms starts presenting itself , that we think of changing the remedy.
