response in chronic renal failure

My father is suffering from End stage renal disease. other problems are-atherosclerosis and hypertension, takayasus arteritis, benign prostatic hypertrophy with hepatitic C infection. His creatinine level is 8.8 and both side kidneys are contracted. his renal function is less than 10% both sides.
currently he is on allopathic treatment and planning for dialysis and then renal transplantation.
I want to know what mediaction can be given in this case. I am a psychiatrist and i know the prognosis in allopathic field.
I need your help.
