Dr Varma - help please- Diabetes Type 2

Dr Varma,

I'm writing this on behalf of my father, whom you kindly helped in the past.

My father is 69 years old and suffers from high blood pressure and Diabetes Type 2, for which he taking insulin injections.

He has used Arnica in control the Diabetes but it didnt help him at all.

He is using Cratagus and Grandiflorus for blocked arteries and Angina - which has helped alot to reduce chest pains.

But what remedy would you recommend for Diabetes type 2, in order to control and gradually stop the insulin injections.

I thank you so much Dr Varma,

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You may try Syzygium Jambolanum Q [http://www.abchomeopathy.com/r.php/syzy] daily one dose for some time.

srisri last decade
thank you for replying Srisri,

If l buy the 'tincture' how many drops are required per day and how should this be taken.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me,

Syzygium Jambolanum is used to increase the blood sugar, however, I'm looking for something that decreases the blood sugar.

Is there such a remedy that will reduce the blood sugar?

rajan123 last decade
So, basically looking for something that works the same way as insulin injections.

By reducing the blood sugar level to the normal level

Hi Rajan

You are refering to the first sentence in Boericke.

********

Has an immediate effect of increasing the blood sugar, glycosuria results.

A most useful remedy in diabetes mellitus. No other remedy causes in so marked degree the diminution and disappearance of sugar in the urine. Prickly heat in upper part of the body; small red pimples itch violently. Great thirsts, weakness, emaciation. Very large amount of urine, specific gravity high. Old ulcers of skin. Diabetic ulceration. The seeds powdered, ten grains three times a day; also the tincture.

Relationship.--Compare: Insulin-An aqueous solution of an active principle from pancreas which affects sugar metabolism. If administered at suitable intervals in diabetes mellitus, the blood sugar is maintained at a normal level and the urine remains free of sugar. Overdosage is followed by weakness and fatigue and tremulousness and profuse sweating.

************

However if you read further you will understand that it is a good remedy for diabetes and he talks of it's capacity to reduce blood sugar.

There is some mistake in the first sentence. Forget about it.

Sygegium is the most frequently prescribed medicine in mother tincture form now a days by the Indian doctors for control of blood sugar.

You can safely use it in 10 drop dose mixed with a little quantity of water twice a day and observe the results.

Read this too.

Perhaps you can recognise the fruit which is very common in India. The mother tincture is prepared from the seeds.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned that it is not very likely and possibly dangerous for a patient on insulin to leave off using it - especially on the advice of 'doctors' on a forum, who have never seen the patient. Even taking for granted that it isn't happening today or tomorrow, is it not indifference bordering on carelessness that a) someone prescribes Syz., with little or no detailed info, and b) Mr. Murthy, who is so against combinations, fails to take into account that the man is already taking a mixture of 2 homeopathic remedies (even if used in tincture, which I can only presume.) There has been no attention paid to the other details of his illness. Even when using a tincture, you need to do better.

I never advised to stop using Insulin. I didn't even suggest Sygezium.

I was only clarifying the mistaken impression Rajan had that Syzegium increases the blood sugar.

However let me clarify that usage of two or three mother tinctures simulataneously is approved in phytotherapy. (The branch of medicine dealing with mother tinctures).

Unpotentised medicines are outside the realm of homeopathy.

Yes, Murthy, I know you did not suggest it, but if you read the OP, you will note that the person is looking for a substitute for insulin - and no one so far has said that that is a very distant step, if at all possible.
There are so many medicines (homeo) for diabetes, why only Syz? Syz does not work for everyone. Where is the case-taking? Why settle for phytotherapy? If a patient has several systemic problems, why give such prescriptions? Better he goes to a homeopath (as he should, actually) or continues with allopathy.

There is no mistake in the first sentence. It means when Syzygium it taken in crude form and there is overdose then - I has an immediate effect of increasing the blood sugar, glycosuria results.

Since Homeopathy uses principle of like cures like in minimal dose, since Syzygium produces sugar in urine, it can be used in minimal doses to cure/reduce sugar in urine.

Materia Medica many times refer to affect of medicinal overdosing and hence its use to treat it.

To Rkguru

I note that you have resurrected a thread that dates back to 2008.

I have had some remarkable success in the treatment of Diabetes with Arnica 6c in the Wet dose and the majority of patients who have used this remedy have confirmed that they observed their Blood Sugar levels dropped within 24 hours by about 25% when using the standard drugs like Metformin for Type II and Insulin for Type I Diabetics.

As you know Arnica is not listed in the MM and the Repertories and it is a discovery that I was fortunate to make in 2005 which has helped many thousands of patients.

My therapy will qualify under the title 'Joepathy' as it is not referred to or known in the Classical Homeopathic circles.

It is essential that the patient reduces the drug or the Insulin used to stabilize his Blood Sugar levels to around 100-110 while using the Arnica which is far safer in use than both the drugs and Insulin.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.
